After their first meeting, Baktako had begun researching [[Perat Law]] and found that duels for leadership based on the [[right of blood]] had been banned, save for those brought on by a child of a Living King against someone who was not the child of a Living King. Baktako and Akan talked Arkerus into leaving for Perisken to dispute the Perat leadership. A truck was quickly prepared for Arkerus and before the end of the night he and his three children, Tikerus, Alaok and Tradei Perat, were on their way to Perisken (Dalatoi remained in Dokraim). They arrived at a border post shortly after midnight and found it to be deserted with the staff having gone to Perisken for the funeral. The group arrived at the funeral in the morning of 21-11. They made it clear that they were Perat but not exactly who they were, with other guests assuming that they were far-flung cousins from outside of the Kadrike.
