	Kapahapšâw, then known as General Hokêkšê (General being a patronymic, not a title) came to power in 217 TT. In 215 TT he would start his westward expansion, originally seeking to control the pre-unification settlement of Vinhâ, because of the copper mine located there. Shortly after the conquest of Vinhâ he would order the construction of the settlements of ~~Terezi~~ and Niwsiti. Later that year he would proclaim his goal to rule all of the island, claiming that Hapšâw himself had appeared in a vision he had, and bestowed both his name and his body (that is the island of Hapšâw) onto him. Over the next 7 years he would lead the kingdom's expansion west, claiming large parts of the island and creating settlements in places he deemed valuable, as well as incorporating the few settlements that had existed prior. In 211 TT he created Goyhalna, which was meant to act as a center of command in the west, because the distance between Tokšahalna proper and it's westernmost holdings made managing them difficult. He sent many men to settle in Goyhalna by promising land grants, a beautiful land to live in, or by taking their house away, and making them move to a new one in Goyhalna. By 209 TT he held the majority of the island's land, with the notable exception of the mountainous lands in the center of the island, which proved dificult to traverse, and the lands to the north of it, as well as the fishermen owned villages of Šira and Ĥonol on the southern tip of the island, which had resisted his attempts of conquering them. In 208 TT Kapahapšâw was poisoned by his oldest son, Têgây, who wanted to usurp him as king. During the two days it took him to die, Kapahapšâw divided the island between his three sons. Têgây, being the oldest, was given Tokšâhalna. His younger brother, Šimu, was granted Goyhalna. Kapahapšâw's daugher, Kaytaw, was to become ruler of all of the small settlements. Although the cities that the brothers received both had larger populations than all of the settlements combined, they saw this division of land as unfair, and after their fathers death, both declared war on her. The villages of Šira and Ĥonol used the attack to push the fractured state back, severing the land connection between the two Halnas. Although the brothers were not able to defeat Kaytaw completely, they did murder the two children she had, and forced her to let them use the resources of the towns she was given. After Kaytaw's death in 178 TT, since there was no heir to take the throne the villages were mostly left to govern themselves.
