The first known reference to it occurs in the journal of [[Gesag Tsormadnih]] during the Nongban civil war. While he does not refer to it by name, he mentions his men chanting &quot;a foolish, rhythmic, self depricating jaunt that gets stuck in ones ears&quot;.<br /> <br /> The song achievewd widespread popularity among soldiers during the Luminary War in [[Niueyjar]].
