La Libertà is a political text first published in 106 TT, during the violent period of the Spirit Revolution in La Rossa. Written by an unknown author, the text, a sharp critique of the authoritarian government at the time, was printed en-masse after the seizing of several government-owned printing presses across the southern city-provinces of the nation. Around 20,000 copies are believed to have been printed over the course of the short-lived revolution, however, only 600 are believed to have survived the subsequent purges. Since then, hundreds to possibly thousands of copies were illegally printed, in avoidance of government censors, and secretly distributed among circles of radicals prior to La Denunzia.

Despite the Rossan government's best attempts to silence the text, it has proven to be an impactful piece in the decades since. One of the few remaining, and likely the most well-known remnant of the Spirit Revolution, it is a brief attempt at systematically dissecting what it saw as tyranny of the Six Families' hold over the island. Likely written in the days following the Piazza Rossa Massacre, and first distributed during the short-lived revolutionary period, the booklet called for a violent uprising against the Dux, the distribution of the Families' wealth, and the dissolution of what it called "the false republic". Although it was unable to gather much support at the time, before the uprising was silenced, its short length, standing at around twenty pages, coupled with its notorious status made it a widely, if illegally distributed text among intellectual circles. After the chaos-fueled transfer of power to Dux Michelangelo Giannone di Salino, a sympathizer of some of its more moderate proposals, voting suffrage was extended to all men in possession of property. His rule also led to the formation of the Advisory Council, spreading power more evenly around the island, quelling the violence.

The period of La Denunzia saw a revival of its ideas, and the installation of Dux Falcone as the nation's leader, the first outside of the Six Families. The pamphlet once again began being printed during his rule, for the first time legally. Despite his outspoken devotion to the text, he attained many critics due to his increasing authoritarianism. Ducissa DeGaio, a great critic of the rule of Dux Falcone, whom she publicly called a traitor of the text's core tenets, expanded the right of print to most other texts, provided they did "not have potential to cause great societal harm", liberalizing the freedom of thought in the post-revolutionary period. Although Leo Minestrici di Mineria, a former Dux and the first from the Families following the revolt, called himself an opponent of the text's many radical ideas, he vowed not to cease the text's printing.
