The Attu Project is a collaborative world building project in which users create islands and have said islands interact. The project began in July 2022 and has been running ever since.

Basic Lore Information

The Attu Project is concerned with building narratives about two fictional archipelagoes of islands, referred to as the Attu Archipelago and the Brchipelago. In addition to the archipelagoes, there are small islands within the vast Eastern Ocean. Each member of the Attu Project is responsible for a well-defined portion of the islands.

In the lore, the islands were originally unable to communicate or trade because of perpetual storms throughout the seas between them. These storms ended within the Attu Archipelago in an event called the Grand Calming. Time is measured using the Haracalnde, which is defined with the Grand Calming occurring in the year 1 PC. Each Haracalnde year corresponds to about two real-life weeks (this has varied throughout the project).

The 2nd Calming, in 9 PC, resulted in the seas within the Brchipelago calming in a similar way to the Grand Calming.

Islands mainly communicate with radio, through a system known as the IgRS.
