The following is a work of fiction, probably. It is not finished, and never will be.

= Book 1: Calming =
In the murky reaches of a black sea, rain pours from churning clouds. Seas writhe with such furiosity that few creatures survive, save for in the lightless depths of the sea floor. A wind howls louds to drown out any other sound. It has been as so for untold thousands of years. Possibly, it as been as such forever.

A fisherman watches this storm from just beyond its edge, careful not to allow his ship any closer drift. His gaze at the Storm Wall is short however, for it as familar a sight as his hands. He returns to his trawl, with not but the idle awareness of the storm in the back of his mind. He has done this many times throughout his life, just as his father, and his father's father, and so on. Just as he prepares another net, however, the sea jumps. He falls to the ground amidst the sounds of crashing waves, and the roars of some unknown force above. A minute passes as he attempts to protect himself from the turbulence, and then....

Nothing. Just as fast as it rose, the seas drop, to a lower level of activity than they had been at prior. The fisherman raises himself to look for what caused this, but finds nothing. Nothing but calm seas and clear skies in every direction. ''Every'' direction.
