Jaca I sa Caje (known contemporaneously as Jaca I or just Jaca) was the fifth monarch of the Cajia Kingdom. She ruled from 696 TT to 682 TT.

Names

Jaca I was born with the long-form name Caje Jaca sa Caje Tapiache jero sa Jare Jeric. She was the first monarch of the Cajia Kingdom to be born after the introduction of the sofaijac fijinte laws, which introduced the long-form names for nobility. Here, Caje Tapiache cyanje refers to her mother Tapiache II, who is listed first because she outranks Jaca I's father Jare Jeric.

When she took the throne in 696 TT, her name became Jaca Praetijac, meaning "Jaca the Monarch", or in short form Jaca.

Jaca I retroactively became known as Jaca I (Caseic: Jaca farai) when Jaca II gained the throne in 616 TT. Jaca I became retroactively known as Jaca I sa Caje, meaning "Jaca I of the Caje Dynasty", when Jaca II sa Jaca gained the throne in 599 TT.
