Krasi was founded in 376 TT as the city of Ardest. It functioned as an important trading center throughout the reign of the 2nd Aryh Empire. It increased in size and importance after the discovery and subsequent conquest of Melor in 275 TT, after which it became a vital hub for raw materials being shipped from Melor to Shakra (modern Ruikra).
On 12-1 23 PC Nongban printing presses were found in the city.
