Brown walking is a Mirroi religious practice. The Mirroites believe that when you enter into a deathlike state you can commune with the inhabitants of the Brown Pool.

Living King, Hotok Kakay was known to often volentarily initiate brown walks. He died on 20-5 27 TT during an attempted brown walk.
On 22-4 5 PC Living King, Harakar Oken briefly regained consciousness from his coma and spoke on the IgRS. He was unable to form any complete sentence, only getting out a few non-sensical sentence fragments before being sedated. Many in Akaria took this to mean that he had brown walked.
