Structure
Each Tieteran postal code is structured into two parts:
Prefix
The prefix begins with a digit from 2 to 9, indicating the canton where the address is located. This digit is followed by one or two letters that denote the nearest major city or the specific postal distribution region.
Addressing Code
Following the prefix, the addressing code is composed of digits only. It specifies the particular city, town, or village within the canton to which the address belongs.
