Repera is the starchy, modified root of a plant with the same name. It is an important component of Hapšâw'l cuisine and the most widely farmed plant on the island of Hapšâw.
Description
The repera plant consists of a small above surface part as well as one or more tubers below the surface, the tubers originally developed as storage for nutrients but have been artificially increased in size thanks to selective breeding. The tubers have a somewhat conical shape, with the wide part being connected to rest of the root system. When raw their inside is a dull orange color, while their outside is dark brown.
