Makaist mythology refers to the collection of myths and folklore of the Makaist faith.
Creation myth
The Makaist creation myth, the Wuray Maka, narrates the story of the universe itself forming a kind of avatar known as Maka, whom organized the universe into time and space before forfeiting his physical body, from which the rest of the gods sprouted, most importantly the twin gods Maka-Qaru and Maka-Sarmi who protect humanity.
All gods are seen as hierarchical subdivisions of each other, always connected, as one and as many.
The lesser gods
The "lesser gods" is the term used in Makaist lithurgical texts to refer to gods who are subdivisions of Maka-Qaru and Maka-Sarmi. Unlike the Maka twins, these gods are venerated trough rites, offerings and iconography.
