Setting: Harakar and Lightning are sitting at a temporary office in the Akuta Military base, waiting for the leaders of the Eastern Bloc to show. Yyme arrives.

Harakar: Yyme!!!

Yyme: Oken!!

(Pak knocks on the door. Harakar signals for Lightning to open the door. Lightning limps over and opens the door. Cok runs in.)

Yyme: Welcome, Cok.

Harakar: Ahoy, Cok. How was your trip over, Cok?

Cok: Hello, it was great, I ran from my hotel room.

Yyme: Glad to hear.

(Lightning watches Pak standing motionless outside the open door.)

Pak: Am I allowed in yet?

Yyme: I mean, if you want, yeah.

Harakar: You're allowed in, Pak.

(Pak removes his shoes, coat, watch and hat.)

Pak: It's been a while since we last met.

Yyme: Indeed. But we are all gathered here today.

Cok: Great to see my good friend again.

Yyme: The Eastern Bloc is the greatest friend group in the archipelago.

(Lightning gathers up three seats for the three new arrivals.)

Yyme: Thank you.

(Harakar sits his ass down. Lightning slinks behind an easel.)

Harakar: Come trusted allies, sit.

(Yyme takes a seat. Cok pulls a couple tea begs out of his pocket and offers it to the others.)

Harakar: I laid out some beverages for you

(Pak gladly accepts one, sticks in in his mouth then sits down.)

Harakar: Thank you, Cok, this will really flavour the sea water.

(Cok sits down.)

Cok: You're welcome, my dear râk.

Pak: So what is there to discuss today?

Harakar: This is all about the situation regarding Nongba and Niueyjar. First off, what think we of Niuejyar? And also our thoughts on Nongba?

Yyme: They like to hate each other. And everyone else. Not a very social duo.

Harakar: And what do you as an individual and a head of state think of Nongba?

Pak: I can't say I know much about either nation.

Cok: They hate freedom.

Yyme: I think Nongba is very volatile. One thing goes wrong and that whole country is on fire.

Pak: It's lasted up until now.

Yyme: Barely.

Harakar: I would have to agree.

Pak: Volatile or not, it's doing something right...

Cok: ...and many more things wrong.

Yyme: I agree with Cok.

Cok: I think we were right to band together to protect each other's freedoms.

Harakar: I want a move of utter neutrality in this regard .

Pak: Cooperation between our nations must be beneficial. And Nongba seems to be quite solitary.

Yyme: I don't think we should interfere.

Harakar: My comment was in response to Nongba's stability. Normally I would agree. Nongba is primitive by our standards, has very few developed natural resources and has hostile leadership who are almost wholly opposed to interactions with the outside world.

Yyme: To be fair...

Harakar: Go on.

Yyme: Nongba repeatedly avoids help, and advice, it's really their fault they are so underdeveloped.

Harakar: Also true. (Harakar raises a finger to prepare for the delivery of a point, but is interrupted.)

Cok: If they wanted to develop they would put effort into it.

Yyme: True.

Cok: There is no incentive amongst the people to develop, since apparently they get everything handed to them for free.

Yyme: Zheir people do appear to not be very hard-working but I digress.

Cok: It's a wonder why it's still even standing as a nation.

Harakar: (Continues.) Currently, as you are aware, Niueyjar is executing a total blockade of Nongba.

Yyme: That they are.

Harakar: You are all also aware that Niueyjar is occupying Faltir?

Yyme: Yes, they seem to be over reaching if you ask me.

Harakar: And you are all also aware that Niueyjar recently "unified?"

Yyme: I was not. What do you mean unified?

Harakar: (He lowers his voice.) I'm sure you all also are aware of the strong hatred of the Eastern Bloc within Niueyjar society. (Normally.) The various nomadic groups merged into the central government. Many of them being very powerful mystics and creatures of unatural origins.

Yyme: It is a worrying development, yes. Are you suggesting we further good relations with Nongba? As to gain allies against Niueyjar? I'm not sure if I believe in that stuff whole heartedly. I think they are mystic, just not very powerful.

Harakar: I say we support Nongba to curb Niueyjar's expansion.

Yyme: Nongba doesn't seem to like us very much. But I do like the idea. Maybe we could establish some embassies for the Eastern Bloc on Nongba?

Harakar: I am in contact with Nongban authorities and they have offered to let Akaria establish an embassy.

Yyme: I see.

Harakar: The issue at hand is getting there.

Yyme: Due to the blockade?

Harakar: Correct. The beast could theoretically carry an embassy staff across in its mouth, though we only have one of them.

Pak: How is it blockaded?

Harakar: With ships. I believe they are circling the island.

Pak: They found some giant prawns in the strait between our islands, right, Yyme?

(Harakar looks to Yyme eager to hear his response.)

Yyme: Yes. Beautiful creatures. Quite fast, I believe.

Pak: We could use those.

Yyme: We could, I just don't know the capacity one can hold.

Pak: A couple folks in Letabtebel have discovered that they can be turned into reliable freighters.

Yyme: Interesting, seems like a good idea.

(Harakar nods as if knowing what these two are talking about.)

Pak: High capacity, quick...

Yyme: Would be good for sneaking through the blockade.

(Cok picks up a teabag and starts sucking on it.)

Harakar: Exactly how quick are these... Prawns.

Pak: As quick as prawns get. I couldn't produce a number.

(A series of explosions is heard outside, the plywood building trembles.)

Yyme: Quick enough. (To the rumble.) Military exercise?

Harakar: Sounds it. Which brings up another question.

Yyme: Yes?

Harakar: Could these prawns be weaponized?

Yyme: We could probably put guns on them, like a turret. I would have to commence further research into them.

Harakar: I would also advise that we try and keep knowledge of this project on the down low.

Yyme: This is a top secret endeavor, yes. These prawns are incredibly useful.

Harakar: Niueyjar does have access to sea-faring beings.

Cok: A prawn's flesh is soft as butter. You could put gun in it easily.

Harakar: I'm glad we have come up with a plan.

Harakar: Lightning, run back to the boat and grab us some water meat to celebrate.

Yyme: Oooo, meat!

(Lightning limps out of the still shaking building.)

Harakar: It should be here shortly. Water meat is quite pricey these days.

Cok: I'd like to try some of this, it sounds exotic.

Yyme: As would I.

(Lightning runs back in with four sealed packets containing what looks like jerky.)

Harakar: Ah, the meat is here. Pass the meat out, Lighting.

(Lightning does as he is told.)

Yyme: Thank you.

(Lightning nods to Yyme. Yyme opens his packet. The scent of dried meat fills the shaking room.)

Harakar: Mmmm, smells like home.

(Pak carefully opens his packet.)

(Harakar cracks open his packet.)

(Pak takes a whiff of the meat and subtly places the bag on his lap.)

(Cok opens the bag with his teeth.)

Harakar: Supplies of this stuff have been running low as of late. I gave old Rigo a full leg of it when I met him.

(Yyme gets to eating.)

Cok: I'm surprised I've never had this before, seeing as we're so close.

Yyme: What happened to your supply?

(Harakar begins gnawing on his piece. Harakar stops gnawing so he can speak.)

(Cok spits out his teabag and starts sucking on a piece of watermeat.)

Harakar: The stuff used to wash up all the time, then the seas calmed and the stuff stopped washing up as frequently. Now it doesn't really wash up at all.

Yyme: Sad.

(A leg of the building collapses sending things toppling into one corner.)

Harakar: Well my friends, I think this is about the end of this meeting.

(Cok "accidentally" lands on top of Harakar. Harakar tries to hide the excitement of an old man falling on him.)

Pak: Certainly looks like it .

Harakar: Yyme, can you see to getting a proper office installed here for these meetings?

Yyme: On the base? 'cause I'd much rather set one up in Tinlea-Ut.

Harakar: Yes, I don't know why we're in this temporary thing.

(Lighting looks at Harakar knowing damn well that he set up the temp office on the testing range.)

Yyme: I will talk to my people, get us a permanent office.

Harakar: Thank you Yyme, you're a good friend.

Yyme: We must be good friends, we will fall divided.

Harakar: I think I'll have the beast deliver my ambassador to Nongba whilst you work on getting the prawns up and running.

Pak: Sounds good.

Yyme: Alright. I'll talk to my general about the prawns.

Cok: What should I do?

(Yyme leaves the room to go find the general.)

Harakar: You and Pak should try and look into Nongban history.

Pak: Can do.

Cok: Anything for you.

Harakar: See if you can find a way to get on their good side.

(Pak gathers his clothing from the corner of the office and puts it back on.)

Harakar: We might just be able to remain friends once this blockade is over.

(Harakar pushes Cok off of him and climbs out the door. Lightning slowly climbs out after Harakar.)

(Cok skitters out the door and back to his hotel room. Pak runs after Cok.)

(Harakar and Lightning look at the temporary office as a missile strikes it, rendering it completely obliterated.)
