Antonio Morobaldi (9-9 20 TT – 6-2 55 PC) was a Rossan politician and Advisor who represented Tolia from 35 PC to 49 PC. An exemplary politician of the post-Denunzian era, his commitment to its ideals made him revered at home, polarizing across the nation, and despised abroad. A political firebrand, a staunch proponent of isolationism and the founder of Isola, he stood as a firm believer in the idea that the excesses of internationalism have led to the deterioration of the Rossan working class to the benefit of the Six Families, and claimed that the only way to mend the situation lied in the ceasing of cooperation with the nations of the Attu Archipelago and the return to self-sufficiency. Although his conclusions were rejected by economists and industrial leaders alike, he had managed to capture a great portion of the working vote, marking a radical shift away from internationalism in a country that had only years before made contact with the archipelago.

Death
Once more entering the fight for the throne of Dux after the corruption scandal of the Barozzo administration became publicized, Morobaldi stood a chance greater than ever before to finally seize the reins of power away from the internationalist faction he had spent his entire career fighting against. Despite some concerns about his age, the 74-year-old remained as youthful and jubilant as ever going into the race. Confidence in him remained even after he was seen collapsing unconscious at one of his rallies, requiring brief hospitalization. As no other candidate matched him in popularity nor was willing to challenge his informal position as leader of opposition, the momentum he had accummulated continued to persist, despite obstacles. For years establishing himself as a highly divisive figure, a close race was predicted in spite of the scandal the Dux was embroiled in.
On 6-2, the day of the election, Morobaldi cast his vote in high spirits, a great contrast to Dux Barozzo, who chose not to leave his palace that day. As the polling stations closed and the ballots were counted late into the night, a clearer picture emerged, and predictions of a solid victory began to be sealed. Triumphantly raising his hands in a sign of victory in front of a crowd of supporters, Morobaldi fell to the ground, leading to him being pronounced dead at the scene following a cerebral stroke.
One of the most disputed and contentious elections in Rossan history, his death led to similar divisiveness across the nation as seen in life. With Dux Barozzo continuing his hold to power following a stunning decree, calls for new elections to be held or for another Isolan to be appointed in his place spread across the nation. The ensuing political crisis would lead to a stand-off between the Dux and the Advisory Council, turning solidly red for the first time in years.
