Use

La Rossa

Silver has historically been used as a major currency across the island of La Rossa. Following the invention of the printing press, direct use of silver was replaced by the paper argotto, although the new currency remained tied to the nation's reserves of silver. Silver also serves a number of industrial uses, including the silvering of mirrors, production of circuitry and catalyzing a number of chemical processes.

Although La Rossa's domestic deposits of silver have long depleted (causing the Silver Crisis), the country today is forms an important element in the refining industry of the metal. Tolia Metallurgy & Refining has a near-monopoly over the industry, and is heavily involved in extracting pure silver from imported ores, dug primarily from Nongba and Deysachin.
