Okrit is home to a large variety of endemic animals, many of which being tied to intimately to the nation's culture, history and economy.

		Hippopotamus pentlandi	Waayo	Omolain Hippo	Large semi aquatic herbivore found along the Omolai and adjacent waterways. Noted for its incredibly variable temperament
		Hippopotamus antiquus		Masriti Hippo	Large semi aquatic herbivore found along the coastline and waterways of western Waaq.
			Karont	Lion Quoll	Pack-hunting marsupial noted for it's hunched gate and tall sharp ears. Endemic to the central and eastern Highlands
		Obdurodon suchomorpha		Crocodile Platypus	Predatory aquatic monotreme endemic to the waterways of the central Highlands. Noted for predating on aquatic and terrestrial prey
		†Panthera gombaszoegensis	Cakmul	†Highland Panther	Big cat formerly found in the Okriti highlands and eastmost lowlands. Went extinct during the Ukubian Imperial period due to urban expansion and human persecution
		Okapia macropis	Dekwi	Greater Okapi	Medium sized herbivore found in the forests and savannah of eastern Waaq. Originally domesticated for agricultural purposes, later became first cavalry animal in Okrit.
		Phascolonus gigas	Mahyu	Lowland Wombat	Medium sized herbivorous marsupial used as a beast of burden. Sometimes used for transporting children.

				Gladiator Toad	Small amphibian of northern Waaq known for its large colourful mouths and extremely territorial behaviour. Traditionally bred for competition by the Taaqbal
				Grey Striped Rock Viper	Venomous snake found in the eastern Lowlands and north-central Highlands, totem animal of the Ukubian noble clans and Amarte Highlanders
