The Viti League is a T'vaqi track running association. The League is the largest sporting association in T'vaqi and is responsible for the organization of most of the country's professional track competitions. The League's founder, Pravna Inqhio, is credited with having created the standard T'vaqi running track.

Track design

The measurements of a standard Viti League track.

The standard Viti League track (and by extension the national standard track) features a flat ring of track bisected by a straightaway. The ring has five lanes and measures 100π (562.97 m) in circumference in the innermost lane. The outer diameter of the ring is 112.05 (200.78 m) and the ring's inner diameter (also the length of the straightaway) is 100 (179.2 m).

Events

Viti League races operate on a fixed time, rather than a fixed distance. Races are competitions to see which runner can cover the most distance in a certain amount of time.

Standard race lengths are based on Unilateral Unit System units for time. Typical race lengths, from shortest to longest, are as follows:

  • Hosqov (8.64s)
  • Sohosqov (17.28s)
  • Sqov (1m 26.4s)
  • Pasqov (5m 45.6s)
  • Hoshav (14m 24s)
  • Shoshav (1h 12m)
  • Shav (2h 24m)

The hosqov and sohosqov are conducted on the straightaway, while all longer races are done on the main circle.
