Ikanata is a major city in Okrit. It is located along the Omolai and is historically relevant as city state.
History
Ikanata was originally founded as a small trade outpost to receive and distribute goods from the Onomat across southern Waaq to the lucrative duku states of the Effiye. The founding of this outpost is attributed to the noble Dolamon Raada of Kafotwo, the house of Dolamon going to rule Ikanata for the majority of Ikanata's history.

Names
Ikanata is notable for it's regional tradition of combining the family names of the parents for their children, creating lineages of unique and ever increasingly long family names. This tradition is said to date back to the city's founding and has a number of tales associated with it
Music
Ikanata rose to prominence as the centre of Okrit's musical industry after the sensational rise of musician Donde Dokama and his eventual work with the Deysachni-operated label Back From the Dead Records.
