1.Azzta? is the first chapter of the book Azztanism by Vyren Kiyrn, the holy book within the religion of the same name. It functions as the opening chapter and introduction to Azzta and Vyren himself.

Before

Following a troubled sleep, plagued by hallucinations and sickness, my vomit covered bedroll behind me i got up and followed an urge to enter the cave-mouth near my expeditions encampment. The cave was larger than previously expected, as i delved deeper i began to lose track of my space and time. Eventually i came upon the end of the cave, a dead-end with nothing but void, pure darkness. Out of the darkness stepped a large crab, reminiscent of the ones we used to sell at home but the size of at-least 3 men. The being identified Itself as Azzta.

Who is Azzta?

The being recognized my confusion, choosing to elaborate before i could get a word out. "You have found me in my home on your great landmass, this cave is where i have resided since my fall eons ago." It was at this point the questions began, I needed to know more about this Azzta creature. This is where i pulled out my paper from my bag and began writing down our conversations in full.

Vyren: What are you?

Azzta: An ancient thing

V: Why are you here?

A: An accident brought me here but i have chosen to stay

V: Why?

A: I recognize the beauty, grandeur of this place and must keep it under my guard

V: So you are a protector of Utlia?

A: In many ways, yes

Before i am able to ask more questions the crab asks me some.

A: But who are *you*?

V: I am Vyren Kiyrn, Im an explorer hired by the Frish to explore these lands north and east of our borders.

A: I am an explorer too, that is how i found your wonderful oasis in the desert of stars.

V: Are you something to be worshiped?

A: Your worship would be greatly appreciated.

At this point the conversation about him ends and the topic shifts into how we should live. Chapter end.
