Background

Orit was born in 27 TT to merchant Aakar Ebosi via his second wife, Lakaga Cokwaze. At that time, the agak of the Aakar family was Orit's grandfather Aakar Onoye. Orit was raised amongst his other siblings in his family residence and was educated privately by several tutors advised by his grandfather. He reportedly became literate very quickly, and began education in commercial affairs at 12 years old. In 2 TT Orit attended the eastern gardens with his father, whom then tripped and fell into the canals. In the process of rescuing his father, three men had been injured by a nearby hippopotamus, including Aakar Ebosi, whom would later die from complications from these wounds.

Orit had several spouses, as is the custom of the Oye nobility. His second wife, Aakar Emoceye, became the subject of public uproar in 17 PC after a petty theft resulted in the injury of 15 members of the public at the hand of her personal guard.

Business career

In 11 TT Orit established a goods transport company that would operate in the docks area of Nakrama, buying delivered goods and distributing them into the nearby countryside. The business was initially small, consisting of only Orit and four other men who would use only a single to transport and sell goods to villages, plantations and farmers along the banks of the Omolai.

By 9 TT this team had expanded to a team of 12 men and 5 canoes and Orit's success had aroused the suspicion of dock-workers, who began to circulate rumours that Orit's men had been acquiring goods illegitimately through bribes and theft, depriving opposing companies, and thus other dockworkers, of product and capital. Petitions from these opposition companies and their affiliated dock workers reached the Nakrama Mercantile Court, requesting an audit on Orit's team.

An investigation on Orit and his company began on 18-8-8 TT, with the final ruling being given in the Nakrama Mercantile Court Chambers on 20-8-10. The final ruling given by lead investigator and Court chairman Agak Kawakadi Mofo, was that Orit and his company were not guilty of any crimes. This ruling was controversial and caused disruption among the court due to the short duration of the investigation, initiating the following statement given by Mofo:

"There is no evidence to support the claims made against Aakar Orit and his company. No man has come to me saying he saw goods being stolen from his premises. Inventory was found missing, that is normal. Men were seen around the docks transporting goods at the same time as inventory had gone missing, this is also normal. The increase in inventory within warehouses owned by Orit is completely regular, as it is for any merchant. These things happen daily, for them to occur within short succession together, multiple times, for a sustained period, is thus not irregular. It is bound to happened. So what if you lost a melon, it does not mean it was stolen. You are merely a simpleton in the habit of losing melons"

The above statement given by Agak Mofo was met with outrage among the court, and heated arguments ensued. Purportedly, a merchant who was displeased with the ruling had expressed his displeasure to Agak Mofo directly, wherein the Agak then exclaimed that he had "a skull so full of faeces it dripped out of his ears", wherein the merchant then leapt upon Agak Mofo, initiating a brawl. Guards proceeded to enter the chambers in an attempt to cool the situation, including members of Aakar Orit's personal retinue, however this caused fighting to escalate as one member of the guards had struck another in confusion, furthering fighting. At some point, Agak Mofo attempted to flee towards the upper chambers of the court building, however was followed up to the third floor, wherein he was then beaten and thrown out of a window. The ensuing noise of lead auditor Mofo hitting the ground was so sudden and loud that the fighting on the lower chambers ceased entirely, and caused the remaining attendees to either investigate, or flee in fear of divine intervention.

The death of Agak Mofo so severely undermined the authority of the Mercantile Court, that it's authority essentially dissolved, and a new court was proclaimed. This was opposed by the members of the former Mercantile court council, with substantial support from Orit. The split of the Mercantile Court thus caused Nakrama to be under the authority of two separate conflicting governments at once, with authority being enforced primarily through violence, bribes and extortion. By 6 - 5 TT, these authorities had dissolved, and power within Nakrama was held by individual Merchants who controlled specific neighbourhoods.

Upon his father's death in 2 PC, Orit would inherit an immense amount of wealth, property and influence, which he used to bolster his private retinue with Waaqi made weaponry. By 3-1 PC, Orit had control over approximately 30% of Nakrama.

Okriti Unification and Presidency

First contact between Okrit and the Attu Archipelago was made on 4-3 9 PC when fisherman from Niueyjar made landfall near the city of Moklo. Sailors of various nations attempted to begin formal communications, primarily through trade. Nakrama's foundation as the heart of trade in Okrit, and partly due to fear of the outsiders, had led to the Attu Sailors being directed towards Nakrama, wherein the first ship docked in 23-3 9 PC. The unknown ship had docked in dock space then controlled by Aakar Orit. Orit, upon accepting the ship for trade, undertook precautions to maintain a complete control over engagement with this newly identified trade partner, joining the Inter-governmental Radio System. Incidentally, through securing this channel of communication, Orit had monopolised the entirety of interaction with the rest of the Attu Archipelago, and thus took on an identity as the leader of a united Okriti nation.

As contact with the Eastern Archipelago was sustained, Purple Fever had began to spread into Nakrama, incurring a slew of outbreaks in 11 PC. Orit had previously recognised the Easteners to be more technologically advanced, and upon correctly identifying them as the progenitors of the disease, sought them out for medicine. Orit accumulated vast quantities of aid and medicinal supplies, including Utlian made vaccines. Since the disease had such a devastating impact on the population and economy, and the Eastern medicine was the most practical and effective for dealing with it, Orit used his large stockpile to leverage the entirety of Nakrama and it's immediate surroundings into his control.

By mid 8 11 PC, outbreaks of Purple Fever had spread along the Omolai into other significant cities, as well as inland into rural communities. This gave Orit further opportunity to gain control these areas, having secured authority over the leadership of every significant city on the Omolai by 12 PC. Expansion further continued with the establishment of formal ties with Akaria and then Living King, Harakar Oken, who provided military support and gave legitimacy to the new unified Okriti government under Orit's leadership. By 13 & 14 PC, Orit had managed to successfully coerce and conquer the various other communities within the Okriti lowlands to either cooperate with or submit to his rule.

A youth named Dom Masopo was beaten to death by police on 22-6 17 PC after allegedly “stealing an absurd quantity of fruit”. The day after the death protesters formed outside Orit’s domicile in Nkrama. Only two days later, Orit's second wife Aakar Emotjeye, was caught with stolen produce under her robes. Three men who were attempting to retrieve the stolen goods were injured by her personal guards whilst twelve more were injured whilst she was being escorted to the president’s domicile. Orit's guards were then put on alert as a larger crowd gathered around the estate. The next day the leader of Akaria, Living King, Harakar Oken proposed creating the Akarian-Okriti Alliance. Orit was more than happy to accept and left Okrit for Akaria the next day with his family to both officialise the alliance and to avoid the unrest in Nkrama. He and his family arrived at Akaria on 1-7 17 PC and had the alliance officialised. The Akarian Navy and Living Army took back Nkrama and put Orit back incharge of his country on 13-7 17 PC. Shortly after Orit cleared some land in Nkrama for Akaria to establish a base at to train his Okriti troops.

In 24PC Orit would claimed to receive visions in his sleep predicting his death. Up until this point, the government consisted of various informal connections and agreements between regional authorities and powerful individuals. Orit's proclaimed visions prompted him to begin creating a formal structure of government, forming the United Okriti Republic. Provincial elections began in 29 PC with a Dakma of 20 out of the 40 seats being formed at the end of the year. Presidential elections began the following year in 30 PC with the eventual election of East Omolai Governor and son of Aakar Orit, Aakar Byenama. Since this time, activity within Okrit has remained unknown as communications with greater archipelago suddenly ceased.

Personal Life

Aakar Orit is the son of Oye nobleman Aakar Ebosi and the grandson of merchant and judiciary Agak Aakar Onoye. He is the second of three children born to Ebosi's first wife Aakar dima Lakaga Cokwaze. He has three wives, dima Satrowo Topaka, dima Takob Emoceye, and dima Motofet Haniya. His second wife, Emoceye, became the subject of uproar after she was found to have stolen goods from local markets and did not receive punishment. This came further into the public eye with the later death of the Dom Masopo, who was beaten death by Nakrama Police after having committed a similar theft.
