Democracy of Hangmeng

The Democracy of Hangmeng (DHM) is an unrecognized nation on the island of Nongba which claims around half the island by population, founded in 23PC. It was formed by former Yotumic Divisionary Federation congressional members of the Central Democrats of Hangmeng faction. The DHM is claimed to be Theocratic, but is currently led by Anhal'pso. The population is unknown due to constantly changing territorial claims.

History

On 27-2 23 PC, Anhal'pso declared the independence of the Democracy of Hangmeng following a negotiation with Psaha Yol where he revealed the democracy to her. On 30-4 of the same year Anhal'pso claimed that all previously YDF naval vessels now reported to the Democracy of Hangmeng

On 3-6 23 PC the DHM began to enforce its claimed borders. On the 28th of the same month Anhal'pso announced that the DHM had created a new Senate composed mostly of former YDF senators for every province within claim. YDF still had senators for the provinces the DHM claims

On 5-7 23 PC Several rural villages in the YDF had their entire local councils pledge allegiance to the DHM. At the time 124,000 civilians lived in terrority that is categorized as "definitely within control of Anhal'pso. On 11-7 23 PC, 36 local council members across Nongba were caught and arrested for pledging an allegiance to the DHM. 11 were awaiting traditional execution.
