The Deysachni Calendar is a form of timekeeping wherein years are delineated not through regular progression but by manual declaration by the God of Time (as well as everything else, and a few other things), Modhes Ywl. The months of the Deysachni Calendar are determined on a provincial basis. Deysachni uphold this calendar as superior, saying that it makes more sense because in other systems, years would be apoetic, containing inconsistent amounts and sequences of events.
Format
Years within the Deysachni calender are declared directly by Modhes Ywl. There is no expectation that years hold a consistant length, as a year is defined not in terms of a set time length, but as a subdivision of the eternal span of time; a year is a unit of significance. Months within a year are determined on a provincial baisis, and are rarely used outside of official dates. Days occur in a set period of 24 hours.
The year 0 is defined within the Deysachni calender as the period of time between the death of Muovin Yg Theslhauu and his ressurection as Modhes Ywl. It is the shortest year, at approximately 4 seconds. The universe is said to have begun in the year -3907.
