Hapšâw'l Sagal (Hapšâw'l: Hapšâw's Heart) is a large lake located in a caldera near the top of Hapšâw's mountains. It is by far the largest body of water on the island. The lake recieves all of it's water from the rain above Hapšâw, due to this the water level lowers substantially in the winter. It is surrounded by a natural wall, as such it does not have any permanent effluent rivers exiting it, though temporary ones often from during particularly rainy summers. At it's deepest point the lake is approximately 240 meters deep The water is highly ferric, with an average iron content of 30mg/kg, which gives the water a dark red color.

Cultural Relevance
The lake provides drinking water to most of the towns which surround it, the largest of which is Hišl. The iron compounds present in the water have historically been used to create red and brown pigments, several of the towns were founded specifically to harvest the dye. The lake is also a significant tourist landmark.
The name of the lake is in reference to the Hapšâw'l creation myth, the water was once believed to be the blood of Hapšâw, spewing from his heart, located deep below the water.
