History

In 104 TT the 2nd Aryh Empire, who had ruled Faltir since 383 TT, shattered into warlord states fighting to restore the empire under their rule. In 92 TT, the warlord Usktir relinquished much of his authority and declared a republic, marking the official start of the Holy Republic of Faltir. All of Faltir was under the control of the republic by 59 TT.

On 18-1 1 PC, the seas calmed in what the Faltir called the Gepmir Miracle.

The Holy Repulic of Faltir was dissolved on 23-9 5 PC by the Glykrot under the orders of Aer-Friar, CEO of United Airfryer and replaced with the United Airfryer Enterprise.

Government

Executive Branch

The Faltir head of state was known as the Othkrot and heads the executive branch. They were elected for 6-year terms and may only run once. The Othkrot represented Faltir in foreign affairs, could propose or veto laws, managed state finances, and could act as a tie-breaking vote in legislation if needed.

Legislative Branch

The Faltir legislative body, known as the Glykrot, was made up of 70 elected representatives (3 from each province and 1 from the capital) who served 10 year terms and could not be reelected. The Glykrot voted on laws, could propose laws, could overwrite an executive veto with 70% voting in favor, could impeach the Othkrot if 75% vote in favor and had judicial support.

Moral Branch

The moral branch was led by the Laykrot who is selected at birth and serves for life, if the Laykrot was too young to make proper decisions a council of the 10 most pious layuch (5 male, 5 female) would instead fill their role, if there was a tie the matter will continue to be discussed until a consensus was reached. The Laykrot could veto laws and cannot be overridden, oversaw religious matters, call Layusk (Holy War), dedicate holidays and celebrations, appoint judges, and could pardon prisoners.

Judicial Branch

The judicial branch was led by a council of 7 judges known as Kohkrots, they were appointed by the Laykrot, and served for indefinite terms but could be removed by the Laykrot at any time, for any reason. The Kohkrots interpreted laws, could impeach the Othkrot with a unanimous vote and legislative support, and could propose amendments to the constitution.

Martial Branch

The martial branch was led by the Uskkrot, they were appointed by the Othkrot and approved by the Kohkrots, they served for indefinite terms but were typically replaced when a new Othkrot was elected. The Uskkrot oversaw all military matters (excluding Layusk), could declare war (with executive or legislative approval), could declare martial law (with judicial approval), and was responsible for providing protection for the other branches.
