Living dictate
A living dictate is a written document issued by the Living King intended to define living law.
Definition
A living dictate is defined in Arikarin's 715th Dictate as "any written order given by the Living King outside of his prescribed powers."
History
The first living dictate was issued on 27-3 1630 TT by Living King Kamore Deram and defined the borders of the Akarinian Confederation. Kamore had been raised by the Weer in the Weer Nation and had based his dictate off of the oceanic dictates they used.
The Ossbosche Assembly came into existence on 30-3 591 TT through Arikarin's 715th Dictate following the Able War. The dictate also defined a living dictate as "any written order given by the Living King outside of his prescribed powers." The Assembly was put in control of officialising the living dictates (they had five days to officialise a dictate after it was given to them) and could veto a dictate before officialisation with a two-thirds vote.
The Ossbosche Assembly's veto requirement was changed from a two-thirds vote to a three-fifths vote on 1-8 25 TT via Bantar's 1st Dictate.
