Lost Wings Theory

From Attu Project

Lost Wings Theory is a theory in thalassology positing that during Turbulence Time, humans used to have wings, and as such were able to fly over the perpetual storm and travel between islands throughout the archipelagos. Humans then lost these wings over time after settling on islands. The theory is used by some two-era thalassologists to explain why humans exist on multiple islands despite being previously separated by the perpetual storm. Three-era thalassologists propose an alternative explanation: there was a calm era in which humans could cross the seas and thus spread throughout the archipelagos.

There is no palaeontological nor archaeological evidence of humans ever having wings or other means of flying before, during, or after the Grand Calming.
