Lyremen Shote

From Attu Project

Lyremen Shote was a member of the Shote family, a family of farriers in western Utlia who became nobles after Lyremen married Seles Liamia, the daughter of King Wynlid Liamia. He is a direct ancestor of Swyl Shote. He is known for being discharged from the Royal Army after a single day and then becoming one of Utlias most renowned painters of the early unification era. He died in 1064 TT under unknown causes that still spark debate in a modern Utlia.

Biography

Lyremen was born sometime during the third month of 1100 TT. His parents were both farriers in what is now The Capital Region. The story around his meeting of future wife Seles Liamia is disputed and there are multiple versions but the common accepted idea is that In 1078 TT he met Seles after she wandered off during a trip around the island and found Lyremen painting beside a pond. The two shared an interest in art. Sometime in 1077 TT they were married and Wynlid officially gave the Shote family noble status.
