Pitball League

The Pitball League is an organised pitball competition held in the Kingdom of Akaria.

History

The Pitball League was established on 5-6 1155 TT by Living King, Amkar Bokok through his 4th Dictate for participation in the Pitball Championships. The 1st Pitball Championship began on 5-9 1155 TT.

League membership

Each of Akaria's Kadrikes is permitted to have a team in the league.

Championships

The main function of the Pitball League is to have teams for the Pitball Championships, which are held exactly three months after the end of the last championship.

Participation

Any participating team must report that they are participating and who their warden is before the start of the championship.

Matches

Organisation of matches is left in the hands of the teams. All league matches must be agreed upon by all teams participating in the match. For this reason matches involving large numbers of teams are far more common than matches involving small numbers of teams, as, under pitball's rules there are at most two losers in a match.

Winning the championship

Teams are eliminated from the championship whenever they lose a match. Teams are also eliminated if their warden dies during the championship.

Prize

The winning team of the Pitball Championship is awarded the team's weight in chives, leeks and onions.
