Portside

Portside is a district of Brenji. It borders the districts of Dockside to the north, Rising Slopes to the east, and Niyasto Tamiche to the south. Most of it was destroyed in the Battle of Brenji, except for one bean store and the Portside Square Clocktower. The district is the location of the Brenji Ports.

History

Founding

The district of Portside was established by President of Brenjia Jecomfi Iri-Jili in 230 TT as part of an attempt to investigate the uncalm seas. According to folklore, it was theorised that the sea would become calm if a port were built in it, based on the fact that rivers were calm and had ports in them. The Portside ports completed their construction in 210 TT. To the disappointment of many scholars, the seas did not calm immediately as a result.

Dockside

In 126 TT, the district of Portside was split into two districts, named Portside and Dockside, mainly for administrative purposes.
