Yyme: I need a drink. Say, Cok, got any juice?
(The timer on the teasmade goes off.)
Cok: I've got dandelion tea now.
Harakar: Can one of you fine gentlemen fetch my boy from my hotel? Or, send someone to fetch him. I really just need my notes.
(Cok leaves to get Barakar. 3 hours pass. Yyme continues to eat the dog.)
(Cok comes back with Barakar and one of Harakar's wives in hand. Harakar looks to the clock he glued to his arm.)
(Yyme puts his head down.)
Harakar: Ah, I see you found Barakar and Womanakar.
Cok: Your wife is very lovely. Reminds me of my own.
Harakar: She is among my favorites. She has produced me three children thus far. Barakar, fetch my notes, they're on my dresser in my hotel across the street.
(Barakar enters with a heap of papers.)
Yyme: Ah, grand. Let's wrap this up, shall we. Anything left to discuss or can we sign?
Harakar: Is immigration concluded?
Yyme: Yes.
Cok: I think so.
Harakar: We still have time left to discuss.
Yyme: I+m happy where we are, but feel free.
Harakar: Calendars, gentry. We all have different ones and I'm sick of it.
Yyme: Shall we unify it?
Cok: We could anchor time to the seas calming? That's the one event we all have in common. Aside from this agreement.
Harakar: I agree. What say you, Barakar?
Barakar: Ok.
Harakar: Well said, Barakar. I propose we have the before-the-calming called TT and the after called PC. 360 days a year, year 0 is a thing, we can call it the Harakar Calendar!
Yyme: Why not Haracalnde?
(Harakar smiles.)
Harakar: I like your thinking, Yyme.
Cok: I think that has a ring to it.
Harakar: So, shall we agree to adopted the Haracalnde for all international trade and the like? Or, shall we go a step further?
(Cok looks at Harakar intently. Harakar leans in to Cok.)
(Cok holds Harakar's hand. Harakar confirms. Cok puts his other hand on Harakar's cheek and gently caresses.)
(Harakar grabs onto one of Cok's thighs. Cok slides onto Harakar's lap.)
(Yyme applauds.)
Harakar: What I mean by 'go a step further' is, will we adopt the Haracalnde as a national calendar?
(Harakar brings his head closer to Cok. Cok opens his mouth.)
Harakar: (Whispers.) Will you adopt the Haracalnde as your national calendar?
Cok: (Whispers.) Without hesitation.
Harakar: (Whispers.) That is good.
(Yyme begins clapping.)
(Cok whimpers.)
(Lightning strikes.)
(Cok grabs onto Harakar, startled. Harakar gets up with the sudden noise. Cok tightens his grip.)
(Womanakar tries to pry Cok from Harakar.)
Cok: Let's go.
(Harkar turns to Yyme.)
Yyme: Hi.
Harakar: What says you on adopting the Haracalnde as your national calendar?
Yyme: I agree to it.
Harakar: Very good, it will take some to get it set up here.
Yyme: Is that all?
Harakar: Anywho. shall we sign the Agreement Agreement that old Lightning in the corner has been writing up for us?
(Cok pulls out another pen.)
Yyme: We shall.
(Harakar begins fiddling with his sawed-off shotgun in search of pen.)
(Yyme gets his crayon.)
(Harakar takes a knife out of his coat and gashes his finger with it.)
(Cok stabs the pen into his finger.)
(Yyme grabs a bayonet from his coat.)
Yyme: Shall we sign, lads?
Harakar: Yes, let's.
(Cok smears the paper with his blood.)
(Yyme slashes his hand with bayonet and signs the agreement.)
(Harakar signs the paper with his blood. 'Harakar Oken, Living King.')
Harakar: The deed is done.
Yyme: Well...
(Cok corrects his smear to look like his signature.)
Harakar: Come, Womanakar, let us head back to the hotel before we set off. Goodbye, my trusted allies!
(Yyme falls asleep on the table. Harakar turns for the exit. Lightning shuffles past Harakar.)
(Harakar stops and turns to Cok.)
Harakar: Oh, Cok.
(Cok's head perks up.)
Harakar: Might you kindly direct me to you islands finest whorehouse?
(Cok points south-east.)
Cok: They're in Goose Step.
Harakar: Very well. (Harakar walks off south-east.)
