Record:The First Great Attu Meeting

From Attu Project
Setting: (Night. Neerakta Military Base, Kelelemi. Akrake and Hia are sitting within a large temporary meeting building constructed of ply wood and sheet metal.)

(Akrake gestures for Turen to enter the flimsy building. Turen Weresame enters.)

Hia: Hello Turen, I am Hia El, Utlian governor of Balmor. I am the Utlian delegation sent here.

Akrake: Hello there, Mr. Weresame. Akrake, High Director of the Akarian Navy at your service.

Turen Weresame: Thank you all for coming. Things are really tense right now. Again, thank you all for your aid, if only we had known sooner.

Akrake: I don't quite think we're all here yet.

Hia: The others should be here soon.

(Seer-Admiral Geilir enters accompanied by several attendants. He is wearing a animal print kilt with a bright pink shirt with purple sleeves.)

Turen Weresame: We can wait, but this needs to get going soon. Hello Admiral.

Hia: I see the CNN has arrived.

(Edward enters.)

Turen Weresame: Welcome, Edward.

(A naval officer walks in to deliver some office chairs.)

Hia: Thank you, sir.

Akrake: Chairs are here. Help yourself, dignitaries.

Turen Weresame: Look, can this get started already?

Seer-Admiral Geilir: Fear not mine children, for the seer-admiral hath arrived and this meeting can beginneth.

Edward: Wow, wowow. I not in many year see a room this big.

Akrake: Hia, do you know who else is coming?

Edward: Very nice room.

Turen Weresame: No time for messing around.

Hia: I believe Spyron may have sent someone? But I am not entirely sure. And I know the YDF won't show up.

Edward: Oh, Nongba very silent. They like being alone.

Geilir: Art we expecting anyone else?

(Edward's guards look very confused and a bit scared.)

Hia: I'm glad you made it, Ed.

Turen Weresame: Look, we have a million ruined buildings out there. Can we ramp this up a bit?

Turen Weresame: I lost many dear friends last night.

Akrake: I think we're still waiting on the Spyron representatives.

(Someone who no one recognises enters the room, but you can tell they are a clan member from Spyron.)

Akrake: Ah.

Turen Weresame: Hello to you too.

Akrake: That must be him.

Edward: Very many people. You all look much like Nongban.

Geilir: Shouldst we not all introduce ourselves?

Turen Weresame: Look, here's the situation.

Akrake: I think we should.

Gomadi: Gomadi of Clan Skanya. The Commissar is likely at a front lines right now so don't expect him to enter.

Akrake: I am Akrake, High Administrator of the Akarian Navy.

Turen Weresame: (Sighs.) President, Kelelemi.

Hia: I am Hia El, Utlian Governor of the Balmore region.

Edward: Wow, many peoples.

Akrake: (Glancing at Edward.) Introduce yourself.

Edward: This island very pretty. I love the torches.

Geilir: I am Seer-Admiral Geilir of the 2nd fleet of the CNNN, these art mine meiny Bjok Halason of Clan Skogan, Driplap of the Kelpies, and Harak Gralkason of Clan Erak.

Turen Weresame: May I describe the situation as of right now?

Akrake: Go.

Turen Weresame: Look, here's what we know. The SLU took the opportunity to take the riots from merely street protests to full civil war.

Edward: Wait, the fires are not supposed to be here?

Geilir: Nay, they art not.

Edward: Oh, no good.

Turen Weresame: Now, Nodakh, Qaadi and Eluti Range are out of bounds for KEUA, Northern Kerala is SLU now, and most of central north and southeast Ananela is SLU too. And the cities are too dangerous unless we have a strong fighting force. We lost about half the cabinet plus the President overnight.

Akrake: Your situation is worse than I had thought.

Gomadi: And one very important thing, the Commissar was promised 100 billion Amirinds. He will do everything to get that. And if the Commisar says then Halma will follow.

Turen Weresame: The skies are red.

Geilir: I'm did prithee to announce mine troops hath't did meet nay resistance thus far, we believeth the spineless cowards did runneth from our approach..

Akrake: You approached into my base, of course you didn't face any resistance.

(Hia chuckles.)

Geilir: Yond would pray pardon me, the wanteth of resistance mine army did face!

Turen Weresame: Safest places are South Kerala and East Ananela.

(The sound of concrete pouring can be heard outside.)

Turen Weresame: I don't think it could've been worse.

Akrake: How has the SLU become this powerful?

Edward: Very bad.

Turen Weresame: They had their hideout in the mountains and given the forests and the rain they basically controlled that area, and we didn't really bother because there ain't much there. Now they used this to stockpile ammo.

Hia: Your first mistake was letting them do that.

Turen Weresame: And as soon as the riots broke out, they rushed from the hills.

Gomadi: I will send my troops to try and stabilize the north, and the ships will block any places that don't recognize our orders on Kerala.

Turen Weresame: Gladly, you have my permission. The thing is, however, the SLU is like a, what do you call it, a meely meal, when there isn't anything going on you can't see them, but as soon as something hits they compact and rush towards it, and do ten revenge attacks.

Geilir: The CODCNN hath did empower me to negotiate on their behalf in exchange for this aid, they wish for a selection of territory on thee fine island. I wilt beest sending mine forces to the west, we wilt likely beest wishing for territory in yond area, 't is wear the Niueyjara corporations art concentrated.

Turen Weresame: We can discuss land allocation once the civil war is over.

Akrake: As it stands the Eastern Bloc requires nothing, save for this base I suppose.

Turen Weresame: I'm glad, we're really thankful

Edward: What is meely meal?

Geilir: I hath't absolutely nay idea.

Gomadi: I think it's an eee thing that turns hard if hit.

Edward: Oh, like Tol. (Looks at guard named Tol.)

Gomadi: As Spyron told me, They want land.

Geilir: I don't bethink thee wanteth to beest admitting yond. Well, then I wilt beest a millionaire!

Turen Weresame: I don't think money really exists here anymore.

Akrake: Bah. Society doesn't collapse as quick as you think it does.

Turen Weresame: Contradictory as to what you just said, look around you. It's just cigarettes now.

(Akrake looks around the plywood and sheet metal room.)

Turen Weresame: Outside, dumbass.

Akrake: Such harsh language.

Turen Weresame: No time for politeness. They'll take the whole damn country next week if we don't move quickly.

Geilir: Thither is at each moment time to beest polite issue, what would thy mother bethink if 't be true the lady did hear such foul language?

Turen Weresame: My mother died last night. Thanks.

Edward: Very sads.

Akrake: Do you have a game plan, Mr. Weresame?

Turen Weresame: I was hoping I could refine the plan with the help of your armies.

(Akrake starts flipping through his notes.)

Turen Weresame: I think we should move North through Koraliti first, to besiege the mountain range they all come from. Up north we could see artillery hit us, but that's going to be rare.

Geilir: Mine forces wilt beest going west at first light.

Akrake: Weresame, how secure is the land around the base?

Gomadi: The Clan ships surround this Island, nothing is getting in or out without my say.

Turen Weresame: (Nods.) As to land attacks, the worst threat is standalone fighters coming from Neerwalkia here, which we can defend against easily. They're holdouts anyways. We could take all of Kerala back in a week.

Akrake: The Eastern bloc will try and supress this artillery.

Turen Weresame: It's only a few small towns you're looking at up there, should be easy.

Geilir: The CNNN eke hath ships controlling our point of entry.

Gomadi: Oh, I have got some news that a town has already in control of my men.

Akrake: Once the base is finished being constructed, about tomorrow, we'll see to taking the north.

Turen Weresame: Could I also say that there is ongoing street fighting in Izumisawa and I think it would be great if we could push them out? Would show the world a message. Never could think this would happen here...

Edward: Many big word.

Akrake: What say you Hia?

Hia: I say yes. Take the north.

Gomadi: I can order the planning now.

Turen Weresame: That would be amazing. With the coalition's help, this could be over in weeks. I will commission a map of our territories and whose hands it belongs to.

Gomadi: Do not say that. That is what Haruki the 2nd say'ed when he started the Great War, it will only make it last longer.

Geilir: Thee all taketh the north we shalt free the west.

Akrake: The Eastern Bloc is in favor of pacifying the north.

Turen Weresame: Kerala is small fish. We need to secure Koraliti.

(Turen Weresame looks shaken.)

Akrake: I suggest that the CNN aid with Koraliti whilst the Eastern Bloc secure this island.

Turen Weresame: Good plan.

Hia: Seconded.

Geilir: Tush tush, I shalt hath't mine people back in time for Emperor Kyle Karenson's feast day.

Akrake: What of Edward and this lad from Spyron?

Gomadi: The Commissar and His men will not accept my words, you will need to talk to him personally to try and put him on a leash.

Hia: What can Edward do?

Turen Weresame: Ananela can be left to last, as it is less of a threat. But later it will grow in problems as it is a huge island and they will dig themselves in. KEUA will hit Ananela with artillery. That's all we need for now.

Akrake: Where about will you be staying during all this, Mr. Weresame?

Turen Weresame: We could erect a safehouse here at this base for all the leaders. Kerala has the least fighters, so we are safer.

Akrake: That could be arranged, though I assume that Hia will be departing shortly after this meeting.

Turen Weresame: Officers in KEUA have produced a crude map of the situation so far. In case any leaders come and go.

Akrake: Ah.

(Turen Wersame shows a crude map of the situation. Large swathes of Koraliti, Ananela and Kerala have been taken over by the SLU.)

Edward: Wowwow, map. Very nice.

Turen Weresame: Thank you, Edward.

Akrake: I myself will be remaining here to oversee the Eastern Bloc forces.

Hia: I have a province to run, but will be contactable at any time.

Turen Weresame: See you later.

Hia: I'm not leaving.

Turen Weresame: Well my bad, Hia.

Hia: But I won't be staying here.

Akrake: It seems from the map that Koraliti might take quite some time to liberate.

Geilir: I believeth yond taking the middle island wilt beest a valorous task for mine forces.

Akrake: I expect to join you once the north is put down.

Turen Weresame: Koraliti will be the biggest bloodbath, yes. But if we can sink our teeth in deeper, we can dislodge them. Our armies are far more well equipped, they only have what they took from the bases that were overrun.

Akrake: What rebel controlled areas are of economic importance?

Geilir: Koraliti wilt beest dram issue for mine veteran forces.

Turen Weresame We heard you, Geilir. Akrake, Izumisawa is experiencing deep fighting which is the capital of our nation, Nodakh is gone, the parts of Ananela are important for food and North Kerala is where a lot of foreign trade comes in.

Gomadi: Well, Kerala is safe, but the Halma will be on Koraliti making their own thiefdom.

Geilir: So long as they stayeth out of mine way.

Akrake: It seems as though we will liberate the north very quickly. What is this Halma?

Gomadi: The Halma Commissariat is the most independent region of Spyron and has the most militaristic society, they have as many men in their personal arm as in the height of the Great War, they have been waiting for a fight and you gave them one. And I say, due to our Clan mission, some more proud Tanospy will apply to follow them.

Geilir: I hath't did enjoy seeing thy runts runneth 'round like headless children on the field of hurlyburly.

Turen Weresame: We will discuss this at a later time.

(Turen Weresame holds up a color photograph depicting two towers in Nodakh city. One is burning.)

Turen Weresame: This was the last photo out of Nodakh. We can discuss Kerala being split up for the nations in this coalition.

(Edward shakes his head pretending to understand.)

Turen Weresame: Look, if we don't roll this plan out fast we aren't going to have a nation to fight over.

(Weresame flips through his stack of photographs, settling on one of a KEUA soldier poised behind a severely damaged transport vehicle.)

Turen Weresame: Our boys are keeping out strong in the parts of Izumi still going.

Akrake: I shall contact my brother-in-law Johnakar. We can use the 1st Drug Division to deliver supplies to our forces here.

Turen Weresame: The 1st Drug Division was lost in the bombing, Akrake.

Akrake: A boat was lost. The Drug Division is multiple ships.

Turen Weresame: Well good luck. I suggest we keep this open for further communications over the Coalition and the War.

Akrake: Weresame, how much of your government is still intact?

Turen Weresame: In the captured lands, eradicated. But outside, hanging on by a thread. Most of the higher-ups have fled or been killed, and many government services have been disrupted or halted to a full stop. The army is still somewhat stable and hospitals are still operating.

Akrake: I would advise that you relocate as much of your government as you can to Kerala once it is liberated.

Turen Weresame: We'll try, Akrake.

Geilir: Verily.

Gomadi: This island will likely be the seat of the government for a good time, so better get cozy here.

Turen Weresame: Would like to see Izumisawa safe and sound. So far I am getting reports of the city of Yenkapol besieged and KEUA soldiers holding strong, we can only hope they can keep the city until we arrive.

Geilir: If 't be true thither is nothing else, then I shalt taketh mine leaveth and beginneth the reconquest of the middle island.

Turen Weresame: We can discuss your partial ownership of Eastern Kerala.

Geilir: I shalt leaveth mine attendant Driplap of the Kelpies to dudgeon such details.

(Geilir and his other two attendants walk out.)

Turen Weresame: See ya, Geilir.

Gomadi: Now, I need to get some rest, is there a place we can set up a not-yet-an-embassy?

Akrake: Whilst we were talking a barrack was erected. I recommend you stay in that until we get some proper buildings erected.

(Weresame thumbs through his photographs again, staring at one depicting a ruined road intersection.)

Turen Weresame: Conditions in Yenakapol deteriorating by the day.

Akrake: Neerwaltia is just down the road from here, but I wouldn't leave the base just yet.

Turen Weresame: Neerwaltia still has some holdouts, but they can be pushed out in a day.

Akrake: I already have men at work securing the city.

(Weresame picks out a photograph of a street illuminated by fire. He shows it to the group.)

Turen Weresame: Neerwaltia right now.

Akrake: We need it for its port whilst the base's port is being built.

Turen Weresame: The fire is from a vehicle set alight. My life has been turned upside down overnight. It happened so quickly.

Akrake: This is the first conflict Akaria has involved itself in in six years.

(Weresame sighs.)

Turen Weresame: This is our first conflict in a hundred years.

(Akrake shakes his head in a sad manner.)

Turen Weresame: I must go. Not that I have anywhere to go anyways. Just promise me...

(Weresame pauses.)

Turen Weresame: ...you will take care of my people.

Akrake: It will be done. I expect the retaking of the north to start tomorrow.

(Turen Weresame leaves the tent, taking a glance at those inside. He is emotional.)

(Akrake looks at his wrist, wondering if he should get a watch.)

(Hia El leaves.)

Akrake: (Mumbling to self.) Could have said goodbye.

(Lek Bahnoor, high officer of the Hautean Navy, enters the room, lunch in hand.)

(A sitcom bassline plays.)

Akrake: Ahoy. Is that a bass I hear?

Lek: Uhh... did somebody die in here or what?

Akrake: Not sure, Edward's frozen in the corner over there.

(Lek's bass guitar player, รŠk, follows.)

Akrake: Might I ask who you are?

รŠk: I should just leave, I'm not welcome here.

(รŠk skitters out the door.)

Akrake: (To Lek) I was referring to you there.

Lek: Don't mind him, he's very shy. Now, I could ask you the same thing.

(Lek gestures to the nametag on his chest.)

Akrake: Akrake Oken, High Director of the Akaria Navy and High Director of the Neerakta Military Base, at your service.

Lek: Great to meet ya.

(Akrake leans into Lek's nametag.)

Akrake: I'm unfamiliar with these characters. What noise does this one that looks like a right angle make?

Lek: "L."

Akrake: Ah.

(Lek holds up his lunch, shaking the little box.)

Lek: Now who do I have to suck off 'round here for a fridge?

Akrake: I haven't a clue, we didn't bring any with us on the ships.

(Lek lets out a big sigh.)

Akrake: We can waddle into town to see if we can't find one.

Lek: Fine, sure. Let's hope the terrorists haven't liberated those too.

(The pair head down the road towards Neerwaltia.)

Akrake: Tell me about yourself, Lek.

Lek: I'm from Agreement. Ever been there?

Akrake: I have not, the only place on eee I've been to was the Aharka Military Base.

Lek: Shame, Agreement's really nice. If you like filth.

Akrake: You must not like Agreement.

Lek: I moved to dZumiya about 20 years ago.

Akrake: Here's a question for you. Why is Agreement called Agreement and not Agreeement?

(Lek bursts out laughing.)

Lek: AAAAH AHHHh AAAHHH!!!

(Lek starts coughing. Akrake smiles.)

Lek: Heeeek heek heeeeeek...

Akrake: Holy shit. Look over there on the beach.

(Lek snaps out of it, wiping tears from his eyes.)

(Akrake stumbles down the side of the little beach hill they were on, heading towards the beach. Lek follows.)

(A large white box is lying by the edge of the sea.)

Akrake: Do you know what this here is?

Lek: What?

Akrake: I believe this is a refrigerator.

(Akrake begins examining the soaking machine.)

Akrake: Akarian-made, by the looks of it. Wonder how it got here.

Lek: Hmm. It looks brand new, does it have a freight tag on it or something?

(Text inscribed on the side of the refrigerator reads "Property of Captain Bort Dioken of the 1st Drug Division of the Akarian Trade Fleet.")

Akrake: It does, it does. Let's heave this bad boy back to the base.

Lek: Remember to lift with your legs.

Akrake: I always do.

(The two start hauling the fridge back to the office.)

(As the hours pass, the sun comes up.)

(Finally, they arrive at the office.)

Akrake: There we are, once we get power set up in here we'll have a working fridge.

Lek: Great.

(Lek drops his lunch into the fridge.)

(Some time passes.)

(Turen Weresame enters.)

Akrake: Good to see you, Weresame.

Turen Weresame: I hear your forces are at work in the North.

Akrake: That they are. Right on schedule.

Turen Weresame: We should commission a map of the nation's territories and who holds them. How soon should I expect Kerala to be free?

Akrake: Kerala will be completely liberated in two months, at the latest. This is taking into account our ability to neutralize insurgents. The actual SLU bases should be captured in about two weeks, give or take a few days. I hope this will be quick enough for you?

Turen Weresame: Well, if my country is free, I am happy.

Akrake: Weresame... how long do you think this war will last?

Turen Weresame: Hell do I know? I was a Minister of Infrastructure before this. The racial tensions are unlike anything I've ever seen. Maybe a year, a few months.

Akrake: I'm not looking for an expert opinion Mr. Weresame, I already have those. I'm gauging what your expectations are.

Turen Weresame: If we act fast, a year.

Akrake: If the SLU on Kerala lay down their arms after the first battles, and the combined Spyron, CNN and Akarian forces take back the capital with minimal resistance, and if the forces on Ananela collapse from internal fighting... then a year is reasonable.

Turen Weresame: That's amazing news.

(Akrake frowns.)

Akrake: However, I doubt things will be so fortunate for us. I expect the forces on Kerala to fight to the last man, I expect the CNN and Spyron to be unable to take back the capital for months upon months, and I expect the forces on Ananela to consolidate. We could be here for years, Mr. Weresame.

(Turen Weresame sighs and looks upset.)

Turen Weresame: I think I have an idea.

Akrake: Oh?

Turen Weresame: How far can your artillery go?

Akrake: Several kilometers, why do you ask?

Turen Weresame: Have we tried mass bombardment of cities?

Akrake: We have not, as I doubt such a tactic would be useful against the SLU. They seem to be quite guerrilla in nature.

Turen Weresame: Oh, and I did have this to say... there is a city called Yenkapol. KEUA is still holding out strong but it is under siege by the SLU. This could be the focus of the worst fighting around, is there any way we could send aid?

Akrake: Which island is Yenkapol on?

Turen Weresame: Koraliti. It was mostly Sawaji and Kawakia, but surrounded by the Sorewa heartland, so you can see why there is strong resistance.

Akrake: Our forces are still focused on Kerala at the moment, I will try and get into contact with Geilir and see if his men can lift the siege. If my information is correct he is already on Koraliti.

Turen Weresame: Great. It would be of importance to me.

Akrake: Whilst you're here, Weresame, I should probably go over Akaria's game plan for this war.

Turen Weresame: Go ahead.

Akrake: As you are aware, Akaria is currently focused on capturing the north of this island.

Turen Weresame: Of course.

Akrake: Whilst that is ongoing, we are busy constructing the Neerakta Base. By the end of the week a proper port for our ships will be finished, and shortly after that we'll have tapped into this island's power grid.

Turen Weresame: How soon would the capture of Kerala be?

Akrake: As said, two weeks at most. Currently all of our military resources are being constructed in either Akaria or eee and need to be shipped down here, and are therefore at risk to SLU attacks.

Turen Weresame: Great that Kerala will be done swiftly.

Akrake: I intend to restructure the island's economy to specialize in the production of our military equipment, to reduce the amount of trips to and from Eastern Bloc countries.

(Turen Weresame nods in agreement.)

Turen Weresame: There's a port in North Kerala under SLU hold called Ankha Bay. It handled a lot of our foreign trade, we could use once it is ours. It would be mostly safe from the SLU afterwards.

Akrake: To put it simply, I intend to turn this entire island into an autonomous fortress.

Turen Weresame: We have the infrastructure.

Akrake: I'm glad to see you agree with my plan.

Turen Weresame: My main worry is that Koraliti will be too late. It is our finest island and my homeland, and our capital city is there.

Akrake: We will liberate Koraliti, it will just take some time.

Turen Weresame: Hopefully...

Akrake: One last subject with should probably discuss. The Sorewa...

Turen Weresame: Yes?

Akrake: They are the ones responsible for this civil war, correct?

Turen Weresame: Yes.

Akrake: How much of this island's population is Sorewa?

Turen Weresame: Kerala... about 15%.

Akrake: Would you deem these people a threat to our operation here?

Turen Weresame: They're the ones leading this war. You make what you think of that.

Akrake: Very good then, I was simply gauging your thoughts on the matter. It has been a pleasure talking to you, Mr. Weresame.

Turen Weresame: Yeah.

Akrake: How are the barracks treating you?

Turen Weresame: They're alright. I mean, nothing much to write home about.

Akrake: We should have proper housing constructed here within the next couple of days. Anyhow, I have a call to make.

(Akrake runs out of his offices towards the phone building. Turen Weresame leaves to his barracks.)

(Akrake enters the phone room and dials up Driplap. He waits for a response.)

(Driplap hears the phone ringing from under the meeting room's table where they have taken up residence, they go and pick up.)

Phone call record from 10 PC:

Driplap: Hello, Driplap speaking.

Akrake: Akrake here. Sorry to ring you up, the phone room was closer than the meeting room, and this is quite urgent.

Driplap: It's no issue, what seems to be amiss?

Akrake: Weresame has requested that we attempt to lift the siege on Yenkapol. Are you country's forces anywhere near Yenkapol at the moment?

Driplap: I believe the seer-admiral has the vast majority of our forces on Koraliti, with the remainder held in reserve.

Akrake: Yenkapol is on Koraliti.

Driplap: I'm aware, I was mostly just speaking while I checked on the specifics of our troop placements.

Akrake: Of course.

Driplap: Here it is, our forces are on the western side of the island, slowly moving towards Yenakapol. But they're being held up by stiffer-than-expected resistance.

Akrake: Have you made contact with those Halma fellows?

Driplap: The seer-admiral mentioned some people of a disagreeable sort in his report but it's unclear if they're the Halma, he can be somewhat difficult to understand at times.

Akrake: We'll need to properly track them down at some point, I'm unsure if they are an enemy or an ally in this conflict.

Driplap: I believe that the seer-admiral views them poorly regardless, based on his attitude towards them during the meeting. Any alliance between them and the CNN will be tenuous at best.

[Akrake nods, forgetting he's speaking over the phone.]

Akrake: Driplap, what are your current duties here?

Driplap: I primarily act as both a liaison between the seer-admiral and the CODCNN and a liaison between the seer-admiral and the forces here in support of the Republic. In addition, I advise the seer-admiral on tactical and strategic matters. Finally, if something were to happen to the seer-admiral, I would be his temporary replacement until someone of the proper rank could be sent.

Akrake: Could you inform the seer-admiral that I must speak to him about the Sorewa People?

Driplap: I will do so, but he will likely just instruct you to speak with me.

Akrake: In that case, I'll tell you what I need to talk to him about. Do your forces have a plan in place for what to do with the Sorewa once a town or village is captured?

Driplap: I think the seer-admiral mentioned something about a volcano, but given that there aren't any here that I know of, I shall have to say no.

Akrake: I would also argue that throwing the Sorewa into a volcano might not go down too well with Weresame, despite this uprising they're still his people.

Driplap: The seer-admiral isn't much the type to care about such things, he's a friend of the empress.

Akrake: I would suggest that we set up a system of internment camps for the Sorewa. Keep them out of the way during this whole operation.

Driplap: I shall bring your plan to his attention, has President Weresame given his approval to it?

Akrake: Weresame agrees that they are a threat to our mission here, I can talk to him about it if you want. Though I don't see the need to keep him up to date on every one of our maneuvres, it's not like were killing them.

Driplap: A good point, I was mostly just asking so that I might make the suggestion as convincing and accurate as possible.

[Driplap tries to write this down using a Kelelemi typewriter, but finds that their tentacles aren't well suited for such a task.]

Akrake: I would recommend that you establish these camps on Koraliti, don't want to keep the enemy too close to the command center.

Driplap: That does raise the risk of any prisoners escaping and rejoining the fight.

Akrake: I'd much rather have the internees escape close to our own front lines than close to our headquarters, it's a minor thing. We also need the space on Kerala for military purposes.

Driplap: I suppose that makes sense. If that is everything, I shall begin to write my report.

Akrake: That is everything. Good day to you.

[Akrake pauses.]

Akrake: Oh, right, later this week we're going to be knocking down that old meeting hall. You might want to find a new place to stay.

(Akrake hangs up the phone.)

(Driplap dejectedly walks out of the room to begin the search for a new home.)

(Time passes.)

(Turen Weresame is present.)

(Akrake stands behind the central podium in the newly built meeting hall of the Neerakta Military Base. The various ambassadors to the base and Kelelemi are present behind their own podiums. Several of the surviving cabinet and parliament members of the Collective Kelelemi Republic, or what remains of it, are seated.)

(Driplap crawls out of an air vent with a notepad.)

Turen Weresame: Hello there, Driplap.

(Akrake watches Driplap, hoping that he knows where his podium is.)

(Gomadi enters the room. Akrake eyeballs Gomadi as he did Driplap.)

Gomadi: And welcome to you too...

Akrake: It appears we are all here. As I am sure you are all aware, this has been a hectic week. My forces managed to capture the north of Kerala, and many, many atrocities were committed on the other two islands.

Turen Weresame: It's good news you captured the north of Kerala Island. I must congratulate your armed forces for this wonderful victory.

Akrake: Thank you Weresame. I have summoned you all here so that we may report the current status of our forces, and to plan and share our next few moves.

Gomadi: How has our naval support been?

Akrake: Your naval support was useful in taking the north. With Kerala secure, I suggest you move your navy to aid in the capture of one of the other islands.

Turen Weresame: Bad news, however.

Akrake: Go on, Weresame.

Turen Weresame: There are two things. In Ananela and Koraliti, there have been signs of the beginning of a terrible genocide.

Gomadi: Do you have news about the Commissariat? Have they been making things worse?

(Gomadi is ignored.)

Turen Weresame: ... and my officers in Izumisawa our capital expect that the city will be stormed by SLU forces in the coming days. Good news, at least, is that the KEUA forces are more well equipped and prepared in Izumi.

Gomadi: Should we start sending something to Izumi?

Turen Weresame: A few battalions to hold the city.

Akrake: Question, Weresame.

Turen Weresame: Yes?

Akrake: Who is currently leading your forces?

Turen Weresame: Me and two of my remaining five generals. The other three died or were captured.

Akrake: Are there any places on the other two islands where your government is still firmly in control? Sorry for the amount of questions.

Turen Weresame: The coastal areas of Koraliti, except the Northeast, and much of Ananela. See this map?

(Weresame unfolds a map of Kelelemi with areas of CKR control somewhat sloppily highlighted in red marker.)

Turen Weresame: This will be updated.

Gomadi: Do you have news on the Commissar forces? I am unable to reach them.

Akrake: If anyone has news, it would be Driplap.

(Akrake looks to Driplap. Driplap awakens from their nap.)

Driplap: Did someone mention me?

Akrake: Yes... Gomadi asked if you've heard anything on the Commissar's forces.

Driplap: The Seer-Admiral has been rather vague in his reports, merely stating that the rebels have put up stiffer resistance than expected, and that the "Spyrad" are "uncooperative and annoying."

Akrake: Hmm. I should probably send a liaison to Geilir. Probably.

Turen Weresame: My head millitary commander of the forces in Izumisawa has told me that the push into Izumi by SLU will commence in a few hours, and that they need to get their forces ready as soon as possible.

Gomadi: I think that the Clans shall send the main army to Ananela to stop the rebels from taking more land.

Driplap: I wouldn't recommend sending a liaison uninvited, Akrake, the Seer-Admiral is very particular about such things.

(Akrake looks to Driplap.)

(Driplap looks back at Akrake.)

Akrake: Perhaps you could inform the Seer-Admiral of my desire to send a liaison.

Driplap: I shall include it in my report on this meeting.

Turen Weresame: Is there any assistance available to Izumisawa from the Seer-Admiral or the Clan?

Driplap: I am unsure, I shall have to ask the Seer-Admiral.

Gomadi: From us, yes. We can use the troops on Ananela for it instead.

Turen Weresame: I'd rather not. Izumisawa is symbolic, but our troops can hold and Ananela is more strategically important. If the clans had troops not yet sent to Kelelemi, though, I would send a few battalions to Izumi.

Akrake: As I'm sure you're aware, my forces are very busy further securing this island. Once that is done we will join you lot on one of the larger islands.

(Akrake looks though his notes. Driplap pretends to write the important information from the meeting down in their notebook, but since they slept though most of it they draw stick figures instead.)

Akrake: I believe that we ought to discus the recent sting of atrocities committed during this war.

Turen Weresame: Yes, terrible.

Gomadi: I believe that the Commissar and his goons have done many crimes, but the lack of any news from there is... concerning.

Turen Weresame: I don't think that's what he is talking about. There has been an incredible amount of reports of massacres and violence towards civilians in Kelelemi.

Akrake: The amount of death and destruction on this scale is truly horrifying. And I trust that everyone here will do there part to bring peace to Kelelemi.

(Driplap looks down and realizes they were at the wrong podium the entire time. They start to slowly inch towards the correct one. Akrake watches the truly embarrassing scene that Driplap has created for himself.)

(When they're about halfway there, Driplap realizes that they forgot their notebook and slowly starts to return to the original podium. Akrake cannot believe the scene that is playing out before his eyes.)

(Driplap finally reaches the correct podium and attempts to covertly look around to make sure that nobody saw them.)

Turen Weresame: As I said earlier, the assault on Izumisawa has begun.

Driplap: With any luck, that will help the Seer-Admiral's plans, so that this whole affair will come to a quicker end.

Turen Weresame: Good.

(Akrake once again thumbs through his notes, as if reading through the day's conversation.)

Turen Weresame: I have been told that Izumi is being hit by heavy mortar and artillery fire from the skies.

Akrake: Do we know where the rebels are getting their arms from?

Turen Weresame: Mostly stolen from overrun military bases, but I suspect they are buying it from someone.

Akrake: Perhaps we ought to investigate this mysterious seller of weapons.

(Time passes.)

(Mal Ignis arrives on a fishing boat.)

(Akrake waves to the boat.)

Akrake: Over here Utlian!

(Mal follows.)

(Akrake begins giving Mal a tour of Neerakta.)

Akrake: That tall concrete building there is where the ambassador suites are.

Mal: I see. Is there anywhere else I could stay? I dislike talking to politicians.

(Akrake does not respond.)

Mal: I'm joking, I don't mind it.

(Akrake smiles.)

Akrake: I completely forgot to ask your name.

Mal: It's Mal.

Akrake: All Harakar told me was that a representative from Utlia was coming, didn't bother to mention name, rank, or branch.

Mal: Well my name is Mal, I served in the Utlian National Defense, and now I am a military advisor to Yyme and Votan.

Akrake: In case your superiors are as "forgetful" as mine, my name is Akrake Oken. I'm the High Director of the Akarian Navy and of the Neerakta Base, I served in the Akarian Royal Army for forty-five years prior to my appointment of naval head.

(Akrake smiles, sure that he's impressed Mal.)

Mal: I respect your service. Many of the people who make decisions on war have never been through it. It's good they brought an actual commander in to help.

(Akrake looks over his shoulder.)

Akrake: In addition to that, I personally led the second wing of Operation Crab Rescue back in 2 PC.

Mal: I applaud your skill with that whole ordeal.

Akrake: Thank you, I assume you too have seen your fair share of action.

Mal: I fought in the Utlian civil war. Votan convinced me it was worth it, so I joined up.

(Akrake nods, acknowledging the Utlian Civil War as a respectable war.)

Akrake: On a more serious note. I must ask, what powers has your government granted you in this Kelelemi affair? I ask because dealing with some of the other coalition members has been quite... troublesome.

Mal: What do you mean?

Akrake: Take, for example, Niueyjar. They have placed a fellow called Driplap here at the base, he relays things between here and Seer-Admiral Geilir on Koraliti, but cannot give orders himself. On Koraliti, Geilir needs to report to the CODCNN on Niueyjar to get their approval for certain things. What these things are, I wouldn't know, as contact between me and him runs through Driplap, and is very very slow.

Mal: How do you get anything done like that? I can do practically anything short of waging war, because my superiors trust me.

Akrake: That is good.
Akrake: And to answer you question about how I get things done here like that...
Akrake: With great difficulty.
Akrake: I'm going to be blunt with you, Mal.
Akrake: This coalition isn't going to last unless sweeping changes are made.

Mal: What kinds of changes, Akrake?

Akrake: What we need here is unified leadership with an agreed upon chain of command. We need a unified war plan. The various leaders of the forces need to be able to directly communicate with one another.

Mal: Why you expect the CNN to agree to anything that doesn't directly benefit them baffles me.

Akrake: Yes, I don't see Niueyjar and Spyron agreeing to these terms... By the brown, I don't even know where Spyron's forces are.

Mal: I agree with the unified war plan.

Akrake: Good good good good good good good good good good

Mal: But this feels very ramshackle. A very loose, unorganized effort.

Akrake: As it stands, I have been preparing for the collapse of the coalition. I have made sure that Neerakta Base firmly remains an Eastern Bloc base, and by extension Kerala remains under our control.

(Driplap falls in from a new hole in the ceiling.)

Driplap: Someone called?

Akrake: I mentioned your name a while ago. Mal from Utlia's arrived. I'm showing him around.

(Akrake spins around trying to figure out which building they're in.)

Driplap: I see, I mostly came in because I heard people talking about the CNN, it's apparently my job to represent us.

Mal: (Winks.) Good to know, buddy.

Akrake: Driplap, you best introduce yourself to Mal here.

(Driplap raises three of their tentacles in a rough approximation of a wave.)

Driplap: Hello Mal, I am Driplap.

Mal: (Whispers to Akrake.) What is this thing?

Driplap: A kelpie, we have excellent hearing.

Mal: Uh, hello Driplap, may I ask why they didnt send a regular resident? Not discrediting you or anything, but I doubt the people of this nation have ever seen a kelpie.

Driplap: Officially I am a regular resident. Unofficially they needed to meet diversity requirements and the seer-admiral doesn't want me around him due to his rather large racist streak.

Mal: That's depressing.

Driplap: Its not so bad, now I get to avoid needing to avoid him when he's angry and wants something to hit.

Mal: You probably shouldn't let your boss beat you when he's angry.

Driplap: Is that not normal for the military?

Mal: Usually beating a peer gets you discharged.

Driplap: I see the disconnect, he isn't my peer. He's the seer-admiral and I'm just an aide.

Akrake: The only way anyone in Akaria's armed forces would be beaten is if my wife were a part of it. The joke is that my wife hits me.

(Akrake clears his throat. Mal lets an awkward chuckle out.)

(Wok Dakon enters the diplomat living building. Wok Dakon turns to Akrake.)

Wok: Sir, our forces are ready to depart.

Driplap: Depart where?

Akrake: Excellent, Mal, the Eastern Bloc forces are about to do a thing. We're sending some of them to Koraliti to set up a monitoring outpost.

Mal: Grand, are we going too?

Driplap: Thats probably smart, I've been wondering what the CNNA has been up to.

Akrake: We're needed here but we will be inspecting the group we're sending before they head there. Well, gentry, let's head over to the landing party.

Mal: Grand, where are they?

(Mal stands up. Akrake and Wok run off towards Neerakta's port hoping both Driplap and Mal will follow. Mal follows.)

(Driplap slowly goes after them whilst looking for shapes in the clouds.)

(The quartet arrive at the port, Akrake and Wok looking at a small military craft parked next to Mal's fishing boat.)

Akrake: Here we are gentry, the landing craft.

(Wok scurries onboard. Mal walks onboard as well.)

Driplap: Why don't they just swim?

(Akrake waddles on.)

Akrake: We can't carry our equipment if we swim.

Mal: Also swimming isnt very comfortable.

Driplap: I guess that makes sense, you lot are lacking in the arms department. Well, I suppose this is where we part ways, I'm not allowed to leave the island.

Mal: Take care, Drip.

Akrake: Enjoy yourself in your quarters.

Mal: So, where are we going?

Akrake: (Interrupts.) We had to rig up the jungle regiment very recently.

Mal: I'm sure it was very short notice.

Akrake: It was, we had to ship in jungle plants native to this island. Anywho, we're going below deck to inspect the forces before they depart.

Mal: I suggest we begin other biome specific regimen, as a just-in-case.

Akrake: Good thinking. I'll see to contacting the High Director of Akuta about it.

Mal: Utlian soldiers are already trained to deal with mountain and glacier conditions for island defense, but it wouldn't hurt to get 'em used to the other climates in this world. Right, these troops.

Akrake: Right right right right right right right right right right

Akrake: We're mostly inspecting their equipment, making sure everything's here.

Mal: What should I be looking for?

Akrake: (Ignoring Mal.) Normally this is the quartermaster's job, but seeing as this is our first expedition to Koraliti, I figured we ought to do it ourselves.

Mal: Aye.

(Akrake looks around the upper deck.).

Akrake: I spy six flame throwers mounted to the ship. That seems to be in order.

Mal: Oh, they brought out the flamers. Must be serious.

Akrake: They're to protect the ship if it comes under attack. No-one wants to mess with a ship that has six flame throwers.

Mal: No-one wants to mess with a ship with one flamer. So 6 is incredible.

Akrake: I would have tried for eight, but you've got to leave a weakness in case it somehow gets captured. Anywho, rest of the equipment is below deck.

follows.)

(The pair enter the underneath of the vessel. Lining the walls are what appear to be sixteen grey hazmat suits.)

Mal: Is there radiation on the island?

Akrake: Unlikely. These are the strike suits, we use 'em when we don't really know what we're up against.

Mal: I see, good idea.

Akrake: They provide protection from radiation, heat, pathogens, and thanks to their inbuilt air supply, any sort of gas-based weapon. But they're heavy, and we also know what we're up against. They're here in case shit hits the fan.

Mal: Understood.

Akrake: Ah.

(Akrake pulls a large box out from under a bench.)

Akrake: Here's one of the arms containers.

(Mal eyes the box intensely.)

(Akrake pops it open and gazes at the automatic rifles inside.)

Mal: I wish I could've fired automatic weapons in my day. Much more fun than basic bolt-action shite.

Akrake: Indeed.

(Akrake shoves the box off to the side, pulling a box down from above. He cracks it open, revealing that it is full of blankets.)

Akrake: Here we are, camo.

Mal: Why do they need blankets?

Akrake: Custom-made to blend into Kelelemi terain.

Mal: Ah, are there any rebels on this island?

Akrake: On the one we're on, no. The one these lads are going to, yes.

Mal: I see.

(Mal looks at the men.)

Mal: Do well, lads.

(The men nod. Akrake glances around at the bags of cement that line the interior of the ship.)

Akrake: They'll use that, plus whatever they can find, to set up the outpost. And I suppose they'll also use some of the sheet metal tied to the outside.

Mal: Resourceful.

Akrake: I suppose we'll scurry out and let them depart.

(Mal begins leaving.)
(Akrake follows Mal out to the docks.)

Mal: So.

(Akrake looks to Mal.)

Mal: What now?

(The Scourge of Okenate departs for Koraliti.)

Mal: How do you reckon those men will fare?

Akrake: They should fare alright. Did I manage to tell you why I sent them before Driplap showed up?

Mal: No, you didn't.

Akrake: Well... Driplap partially covered it. We don't have very much contact with Niueyjar's forces and we need this outpost to monitor what they're up to.

Akrake: Them and the clanmen.

Mal: I don't trust Niueyjar's anything. So, I think this is a good idea.

(Akrake nods.)

Akrake: Truth be told I'm more worried about the Clanmen.

Akrake: Or was it the Halma?

Akrake: It was the Halma.

Akrake: Spyron terminology always confuses me.

Akrake: At least with Niueyjar they have Driplap here.

Akrake: The Halma have no one here.

Mal: I choose to not think of Spyron much.

Akrake: It's hard not to think about them when their brutes are rampaging around the land that they're supposedly trying to liberate.

Mal: What are they doing with the troops?

Akrake: They don't have a representative here at Neerakta and have been causing trouble for Niueyjar's forces. I expect fighting between the two will break out soon enough.

Mal: What's the Eastern Bloc's move on this?

Akrake: Our move here is to observe, starting a war between us, and either Niueyjar or Spyron, is not something I want.

Mal: Agreed.

Akrake: We must remember our objective here, eliminate the SLU threat.

Mal: Indeed.

Akrake: Holding Neerakta and making Kelelemi and ally would also be good, but we should not forget what the primary objective is. Anywho, shall I show you to the meeting hall?

Mal: Proceed.

(Akrake leads Mal to a a large two story building just opposite the ambassador sleeping building.)

Akrake: Here we are.

(Mal takes it in.)

Akrake: Come on in.

(Akrake prances in.)

(The first floor of the meeting hall houses a large central podium surrounded by many smaller podium.)

(Akrake points to a podium right up close to the central one.)

Akrake: That one there is yours.

(Mal walks up to the podium.)

Mal: Nice podium.

Akrake: The front row is for any ambassadors to the base plus Kelelemi's president. Other government and military officials go in back. The central podium is where I sit, cum, stand as High Director of the base.

Mal: I see my podium is quite close to yours.

Akrake: You are a very important figure at the base. Upstairs is where we can sign any sort of treaties and also where the fridge is.

Mal: Oo, a fridge.

(Driplap takes note of the fridge's locations from the vents where they're listening in.)

Akrake: Found it on the beach just outside. We routinely stock it with things we find in the markets just outside the base. Lots of fish and fruit. Feel free to help yourself.

(In their haste to make it to the fridge Driplap falls from the vent.)

(Akrake looks to Driplap without any emotion on his face as he has become used to Driplap's antics.)

Driplap (they/them, ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ): My bad I was just on my way to visit the cathedral, its quite beautiful no?

(Akrake tries his hardest to remember whether or not the base has a cathedral and what a cathedral is.)

(Driplap makes a smooth escape to the upstairs proud of their ability to misdirect.)

(Akrake looks to Mal.)

Akrake: Do you remember what a cathedral is?

Mal: I have no idea what you are talking about.

Akrake: Anywho, that concludes our tour.

Akrake: The little man that lives in the diplomat housing can show you to your quarters.

Mal: Akrake, I have a question, regarding a kind of meat delicacy in your nation. I'll join you, but first, where do you source your "Water Meat"?

(Akrake leaves Mal's room. Mal follows.)

Akrake: It used to wash up on the Weer Coast.

(Akrake opens the door to his room freeing Turen.)

(Turen Weresame collapses loudly on the floor in Mal's room. Akrake begins walking down to the meeting hall. Mal continues trailing.)

Akrake: It almost all stopped washing up after the Grand Calming.

Mal: Well, I'd still like to try some.

Akrake: I'm unsure of the size of the Weer stockpiles.

Mal: I'm currently on a personal adventure of taste testing.

Turen Weresame: nnnhelp

Akrake: I'll ring up Johnakar and see if he has any boats nearby carrying any.

Mal: Grand!

Akrake: The pair exit the ambassador suites.

(The pair exit the ambassador suites.)

(Akrake points to a phone outside the meeting hall.)

Akrake: I'll use that one to ring up Johnakar.

Mal: Alright!

Phone call record from 18-1 1 PC:

[Akrake rings up Johnakar.]

Turen Weresame: Wakes up.

[Turen Weresame wakes up.]

Johnakar: Hello?

Akrake: Johnakar!!! It's me! Your beloved brother-in-law Akrake. Where are you Johnykar?

Johnakar: [Sigh.] I'm in Oksken, where I always am.

Akrake: Are there any ATF ships nearby carrying water meat?

Johnakar: What? Why do you need to know that?

Turen Weresame: [Stumbles over to Akrake on the phone.] Stumbles over to Akrake on the phone.

Turen Weresame: I DONT WANR PART OF YOUR SHIT WATER STEAK YOU FREAK BITCH

Akrake: We need water meat for... military reasons... quite confidential. I'm sure you understand. [Whispering.] One moment my dear Turen, I'm on the phone.

Turen Weresame: NNNNGGGGGGYYYYYIGH DONT CARE JACKASSSHHHHHhhhvvvvโ€ฆ.

Akrake: Just bring the ship down, we can set up a a little market here for the boys.

[Driplap wanders in snacking on food plunderer from the fridge.]

Johnakar: Very well, I'll have a ship here in an hour.

[Akrake hangs up.]

Mal: So? Is he sending us meat?

Akrake: He is. (Looks at Turen.) You good Veersham?

Turen Weresame: I need to get my rocks off.

Driplap: Would you like me to take a look at him? I studied nursing during my years as an undergrad.

Turen Weresame: Gotta get off every once in a while, right, buddy?

Akrake: Go right ahead, Driplap.

Turen Weresame: Daddy is covered in blue paint and I need to get wet, care to join me in the shower?

(Driplap goes to Turen and hits him over the head with a blunt object before picking him up to place on a table.)

Turen Weresame: Amaaaaazing graaaaaceeee...

(Akrake follows Driplap to this mystery table. Mal follows as well. Driplap pulls out a white crystal from their bag and begins waving it over Turen's head.)

Turen Weresame: My wife... Whatโ€™s that hot slampiece up to at this time of day?

Driplap: I'm picking up a lot of bad energy in him right now, could be that he was poisoned.

Akrake: Please, Driplap. We just need to know what part of his brain to remove.

Mal: I learned about this thing in the civil war, where they put an icepick shaped rod through the top of the eye to pacify the bad parts of the brain.

Driplap: I don't think this is a brain removal situation, I'm not feeling any Akasa nearby.

(Driplap puts the crystal back in his European man bag and pulls out a pair of volcanic rocks.)

Map of Europe, circa 2026 PC

Driplap: Do you have a heater anywhere nearby? Need to heat up the cleansing stones.

Mal: I believe Akrake had a portable heating element.

(Akrake removes a large warm rock from under his coat.)

Akrake: Will this do?

Mal: I assume so.

Driplap: (Looking at the rock.) No, needs to be more holy.

(Akrake begins smashing his radioactive rock against the floor in an attempt to shape it into a toroidal polyhedron, a shape that he assumes that Driplap considers to be holy.)

Artist's rendition.

(Driplap looks on in confusion before doing something analogous to shrugging. They then sets about breaking down the wooden chairs around the mysterious table and making a fire.)

(Akrake continues bashing away at the ground as his beloved chairs are torn apart and burnt.)

(Driplap, satisfied with the fire begins to warm their cleansing stones.)

(Akrake looks around and successfully identifies that the group is in a recreation area just next to the meeting hall. Akrake is very proud of himself.)

(Satisfied with the temperature of the stones Driplap carefully removes them and place them onto Turen's back.)

(Driplap begins to start pressing down along Turen's back and pushing towards the stones.)

Akrake: Driplap, do you think he'll live?

Driplap: I believe so, I just need to push the negative energies into the cleansing stones.

Akrake: In that case, I would recommend blood letting.

Driplap: your medical knowledge must be incredibly primitive, we learned that negative energies aren't stored in the blood ages ago. Blood lettings are only really useful in cases when the patient has developed a case of the Jangau disease.

Akrake: Next you're going to tell me you no longer drink quicksilver to rid yourself of fevers.

Driplap: Well actually, we've found pureed fish lungs to be far more effective.

(The phone in Akrake's office has begun ringing.)

(Akrake answers.)
Phone call record from 11 PC:

Akrake: Hello?

Harakar over the phone: Akrake, it's me Harakar. Again.

Harakar over the phone: Did you hear about the massacre in Rebunranai?

Akrake: Yeah, this war's going brown real fast. I'm busy charting up contingency plans for it.

Harakar, now under the phone: You should call an emergency session at the base. It would look good on our part, do whatever else you think is necessary.

Akrake: Will do.

(Akrake hangs up the phone.)

Driplap, peeking in from around the corner: So who was that?

Akrake: Harakar.

Turen, balancing himself on one leg over the doorway: Hmh?

(Akrake pushes the emergency button.)

Driplap: Oooo, what was that?

Akrake over the Neerakta Base loudspeaker:
Neerakta Base loudspeaker record from 11 PC:

Akrake: I am calling an emergency meeting of the Kelelemi Coalition over the recent incident at Rebunranai, all parties please make their way to the meeting hall.

(Driplap begins rushing to the meeting hall. Trent Turen begins skipping along to the meeting hall like a schoolgirl. Akrake gets up and waddles his ass down to the meeting hall.)

(Akrake takes his place at the central podium.)

(Driplap arrives in the meeting room before suddenly freezing, as they forgot which seat is theirs.)

(Turen leans with one foot on the wall.)

(Driplap resolves to stand at the door greeting people until everyone else takes their place, to avoid embarrassment.)

(People flow in like salmon through a salmon pipe. Once it looks like most people are in Akrake begins preparing to speak.)

(Driplap looks to the remaining seats before their eyes land on the only one designed for a kelpie. Akrake watches Driplap, hoping that one day he'll be able to remember where his seat is.)

(Turen Weresame looks around the room, waiting for Akrake to begin speaking. Driplap looks at Turen speaking into his radio.)

(Driplap makes a disapproving gesture at Turen.)
Disapproving gesture record from 11 PC:

๐Ÿ–•

Akrake: Earlier today, reports came in that the KEUA had bombarded the village of Rebunranai, killing at minimum 483 people. Both the SLU and RiS have condemned the incident and have vowed revenge. Kelelemi High Command, on the other hand, claims there were no plans to attack Rebunranai, and accused rogue forces of being behind the attack. I'm sure, however, that you all know at least pieces of this already.

Turen Weresame: I had no knowledge of this prior to the news coming through. I drove through the town during my VP campaign years back.

Akrake: According to recently gathered information, the SLU has accused Yuri Kapalo of ordering this attack. What do you know about this?

(Akrake addresses this question to Turen Weresame and the rest of the Kelelemi officials.)

Turen Weresame: Yuri is in charge of the forces under siege in Yenkapol. Communication takes a few hours due to being surrounded. No idea why he would do this.

Akrake: And what of the accusations that rogue forces were behind the attack?

Turen Weresame: Nobody in High Command would've ordered this, so it must have been a small group of rogues, we guessed. This attack was unprecedented for both sides.

(Akrake walks a bit around his podium.)

Akrake: Care to tell me how a rogue force such as this came into existence?

Turen Weresame: I have no idea! Maybe some radicals, ones who were in the army and had access to artillery.

Driplap: In conflicts like this emotions tend to run hot, it's not surprising that they'd want revenge.

Turen Weresame: Exactly. Expect to see another massacre in response.

(Akrake
clicks
three

times.)

Akrake: If that is the case, then the KEUA have become a security risk.

Turen Weresame: Sighs. Oh shit, sorry, I meant

(Turen Weresame sighs.)

Turen Weresame: There we go.

Driplap: I have a betting pool running with some of the fellows around the fort, I'm expecting at least 2 massacres in response.

Turen Weresame: Anybody with sense would've stopped this. It is not endemic in our forces.

Turen Weresame: I didn't sign up for this when I ran for VP.

Driplap: You could always resign. It would probably do wonders for your mental health.

Turen Weresame: At a time like this? And be forever remembered as a coward? I would not leave my country in this state.

Driplap: A coward is better than a criminally insane failure. Is what I always say.

(Lek shuffles over to Turen and Driplap.)

Akrake: Irrelevant, the SLU are going to strike back against the KEUA, and if my knowledge of your forces is to be trusted, someone of yours will strike back, creating a sort of cycle dealing.

Turen Weresame: I will do everything in my power to stop this.

Lek: Thereโ€™s tons of cheap land in the south of Siรด. You could always just buy up a property there. The language is pretty easy to learn, people are friendly.

Turen Weresame: No time for such things, LEK!!! THIS IS SERIOUS!! My people are dying!

Lek: No wars. A man should be allied to no-one but himself.

Turen Weresame: You have no idea the responsibilities of a leader like myself.

Driplap: People should also hold loyalties to their families, friends, and nation.

Turen Weresame: As I do.

Akrake: GENTLEMEN!

(Lek flinches.)

Akrake: We must remember why this meeting was called. I am fairly certain that Weresame has no real interest in resigning.

Turen Weresame: I do not.

Driplap: It's important that he is aware of his options, we don't want another buildup of negative energies to paralyze him at an inopportune time.

Akrake: (Quietly.) Where was I? Ah, yes.

Akrake: I believe further attacks specifically targeting the KEUA are inbound.

Turen Weresame: I am firm in the belief that more Coalition forces are needed.

Akrake: I agree.

Turen Weresame: Along with humanitarian aid and assistance.

Akrake: As it stands, we are in control of all of Kerala Island. I would like to keep any further action here limited, which is why I'm recommending that we replace all KEUA forces on Kerala with coalition forces.

Turen Weresame: Would make sense, we could send the troops to more needed areas for backup.

Driplap: Well, since you are all in favor of more coalition forces, you'll probably be happy to hear that the Seer-Admiral has been ignoring the Council Head's orders to withdraw half of our troops. I'm sure the CNN will provide some troops to secure the coalition's main island.

Turen Weresame: Glad you ignored them.

Driplap: I did no such thing, I did my duty and forwarded it to the Seer-Admiral. He doesn't seem to be using our forces very efficiently, we could probably keep only a third here and still contribute more.

Turen Weresame: Or you could keep the same amount and contribute EVEN more.

Turen Weresame: ...I was also under the impression that you were the Seer-Admiral.

(Akrake cringes.)

Driplap: I am no such thing, and you dishonor me by thinking so. I am but a mere assistant. To act with authority above my station would be a gross offense.

Turen Weresame: I must apologize.

Akrake: Very good about the ignoring, I should be able to send more Eastern Bloc forces down to Kerala.

Turen Weresame: It would be a delight. Tonight I will order that no KEUA officers are to command a response attack to any massacre perpertrated by the SLU in response to Rebunranai.

Akrake: That's good, I'd rather not have the people turn against us.

Turen Weresame: This will save lives.

Driplap: Or cost many more, if enough officers decide to permanently go rouge.

Turen Weresame: Under my command NO SUCH THING will happen.

Akrake: On an unrelated note, what do your forces know about the relationship between the BASRiS and the SLU?

Turen Weresame: BASRiS is the so-far unorganized army of the Republic of Sorewa, the SLU are the main organization and army of Sorewa fighters in the civil war. They are on the same side, and will coordinate when the BASRiS is formed.

Akrake: Driplap, do you have any reports on the Commissariat and his "thiefdom?"

Turen Weresame: Thiefdom?

Akrake: That's what the Spyron representative called it.

Turen Weresame: Well that says a lot. In the end, I mean what can we do? I will order my forces not to respond to any response.

Akrake: I really just want to know where the guy is.

Turen Weresame: What guy?

: The guy.

Turen Weresame: I have no idea who you are talking about.

: The Commissariat.

Turen Weresame: Ah.

: I'm waiting on Driplap to respond to me.

Driplap: Sorry, I was checking my notes, according to my records his name is just Commissariat.

: May I ask why we need to remove forces from Kerala?

: Risk of retaliatory attack from the SLU.

Turen Weresame: It would mean KEUA could redistribute to areas in need of backup and more forces. Kerala is the safest from any attack, so it makes sense.

Mal: I see.

: I remember there being a Gomadi of Clan Skanya.

Driplap: His thiefdom is apparently a bunch of no good rotten baddies. Mind you the original report had much stronger wording.

: They stole a bunch of washing machines from civilian homes in Koraliti for some reason. Living up to the thiefdom name.

Akrake: ๐ŸŸข #1E7F1D. I mean. He's standing over there.

: A ROBOT?

Akrake: A what?

(Akrake gestures to a man standing completely motionless behind a podium.)

Akrake: When this war started two forces from Spyron came here. The Clanmen and the Commissariat.

Mal: I haven't seen these Spyron forces around

Akrake: The Clanmen under control of Gomadi joined the coalition. Gomadi is here I believe.

(Akrake once more points towards the husk he assumes to be Gomadi.)

Akrake: The Commissariat on the other hand did not join the coalition and is somewhere on Koraliti establishing his "Thiefdom." The Halma.[1.1]

[1.1] Akrake: The Commissariat leads the Halma.

Trent Veersham: He will be stopped but we have bigger problems. In my closing remark I will stress the need for more humanitarian aid, stronger coalition forces and that I will order KEUA to leave Kerala and not to do more massacres. What happened at Rebunranai must not be repeated.

Akrake: Very good.

(Trent Veersham out of the meeting hall.)

(The tide of Kelelemi politicians follows. All hand in hand single file following eachother.)

Driplap: (A concerned edge in his voice.) Is that normal for their culture? My notes say nothing about that particular ritual.

Akrake: I've learned not to question the Kelelmites, they're an odd sort.

Driplap: That seems a wise policy.

(Tim passes. Jim scores.)

(Driplap is going about their day with an abnormally high level of incompotence. Akrake is standing at the phone, just outside the Meeting Hall.)

Akrake: (Through the phone.) I see. Thank you for telling me this, Dakon.

(Akrake hangs up the phone.)

(Turen Weresame power walks over to Akrake and gets very close.)

Akrake: Weresame, I've received some disturbing news from Fort Dakon.

Turen Weresame: MMM hmmm

(Gomadi looking notably more dishevelled walks into the scene.)

(Akrake looks around.)

Turen Weresame: Heya, Gomadi.

Akrake: Looks like the whole gang's dropping in.

Turen Weresame: .-- . / -... . / -... ..- ... ... .. -.

Gomadi: Hehe, things are coming up... something.

Turen Weresame: What's happening in Fort Dakon?

Gomadi: I was when to the areas under Clan control when I was gone here, stable but a notable amount of rationing. And I thought it was bad at Spyron.

Turen Weresame: In Kelelemi?

Gomadi: Yea, Riashimi is bad, around 1000 calories per day.

Turen Weresame: Yenakapol is terrible at 600 calories right now, food prices at the low hundred thousand Amirinds

Akrake: Fort Dakon has reported the current whereabouts and actions of the CNN forces on Koraliti to me.

Turen Weresame: Yes? They have been of great aid in this war.

Akrake: Have they? From what I've been told they captured a small patch of land and have started building a resort on it.

Turen Weresame: They have held the lines...what? A resort? Where?

Gomadi: I SEEN THAT! When I was at Vyskati I personal seen it.

Turen Weresame: Vyskati?

Gomadi: It could put the Jomui PDA to shame.

Turen Weresame: Odd... especially for a besieged region, the people there are starving!

Driplap: I'm sorry I was a bit stunned just now, did you claim we were building a resort?

Turen Weresame: Akrake did.

Gomadi: I seen it personally from afar when I was at Vykati.

Driplap: This is an unexpected development

Gomadi: And it did seem... unpopulated...

Driplap: Yes, I can't imagine too many people want to go on vacation to a war zone.

Gomadi: Well, maybe some Roja...

Turen Weresame: Get your forces in order, Driplap.

Trent Veersham: The people are starving and you build a fancy resort? This is a spit into the face of the people! Do you know more about this Gomadi?

Driplap: I have nothing to do with this resort, if anything I'm more shocked than you are.

Turen Weresame: Well, if anything it shows that you have no command of your armies.

Driplap: I'm just an aide so thats to be expected. :tieteran:

Gomadi: Wellm looks like you might need someone to make sure that you are not exploiting a land in need.

Driplap: The Seer-Admiral is the one building it and he clearly has command over our forces if the resort is as far along as it sounds.

Turen Weresame: Get the Seer-Admiral over here. I have some questions for him. We need to talk.

Driplap: I'll send him a message, but he will likely ignore it just as he has all the others I've sent.

Turen Weresame: Then you are not a very good aide either. Get him on the line, NOW!

Driplap: I take offense to that.

Turen Weresame: NOW!

Driplap: You have dishonored me and my family by your words, I'll speak no more to you until you make amends.

(Driplap leaves the room in a rage.)

Turen Weresame: I WILL MAKE AMENDS WHEN I TALK TO THE SEER ADMIRAL! Damn bastard...

(Driplap makes a wildly offensive gesture in kelpie culture as they leave view of Turen. The meaning is lost on Turen due to his lack of familiarity with kelpie society.)

Trent Veersham: Yeah, fuck you too, buddy.

(Akrake tries to figure out what room they're in. It was the break room.)

Gomadi: With allies like this, who needs enemies.

(Akrake knows well that the group was outside when this conversation started.)

Turen Weresame: It is important that I know the goings on of the lands I preside over as the President!

(It was a new concept of an outdoor breakroom, the fresh air reportedly would do people good.)

Turen Weresame: Now let me make it clear, It is of great concern to me when there are people building RESORTS when there is a famine on the way! It is critical that you know the reasons for this.
As a generative AI model, I can provide a summary of the main reasons behind the potential famine in Kelelemi's near future, reflecting the latest sources as of 1-3 11 PC:
  • Disrupted food supply chains: The conflict has disrupted the normal flow of food from farms, markets, and warehouses to the people who need it. This is due to damaged infrastructure, blocked roads and supply routes or loss of transport means caused by attacks and looting and destruction of vital communication lines by SLU forces and KEUA forces who have low supplies.
  • Damaged agriculture and farming: The war has damaged agricultural infrastructure, farms and decreased the supply of food. The conflict has resulted in destruction of farmland, damage to irrigation systems, loss of farming tools and livestock, and depletion of soil quality through bombing, shelling and arson.
  • Displacement and migration of populations: The conflict often leads to forced displacement of populations, either due to violence, persecution, or lack of basic services. This can lead to overcrowding, lack of shelter, and inadequate food supply for those displaced, increasing food insecurity in affected populations. Kawakians in SLU lands have been especially affected by this.
  • Economic instability: The conflict has disrupted local economies, decreased employment opportunities and caused widespread poverty, leading to reduced purchasing power for food.
  • High food prices: The war has caused a spike in food prices due to shortages and decreased availability. This, along with the loss of the value of the Amirind, the Kelelemi currency has made it difficult for people to afford basic food items, particularly in areas that depend on importation.
  • Access restrictions: The civil war has restricted access to affected areas, making it difficult for humanitarian organisations to distribute food and other supplies to people in need.
Overall, The civil war in Kelelemi has disrupted the economic, social and political framework necessary to maintain the food system, resulting in food shortages, malnutrition and starvation for affected populations. These reasons have created a situation that is quickly developing into a famine and it is insulting for there to be resort developments at this time. Is there any other query I may assist you with?

Gomadi: Ah, a Famine, I was hoping for the Aid of Other Lands Act was going to help, but it is dead in the water now.

Akrake: Driplap's not here anymore.

Turen Weresame: How is the AOOLA going Gomadi?

Gomadi: It's been swallowed by the Wyrm.

Turen Weresame: What is the Wyrm?

Gomadi: The Wyrn is one a powerful beast that was said gashed the Clanlands, swallowing all. Legends say that it only died when Welo the Great slayed it from the inside.

Turen Weresame: If it's dead, how come it swallowed the Aid Of Other Lands Act?

Gomadi: It's a saying, it means that something now has a little chance of happening but not impossible.

Trent Veersham: I understand now...Hope it comes through

Gomadi: I mean it's unlikely, the lands of Spyron already don't have much food to go around and it isn't a popular idea to let your own people stave to save another.

(Akrake leans back against a wall.)

Akrake: I could see to asking the Eastern Bloc about sending aid your way. Though I'm not sure we have the food resources to spare.

Akrake: More tea, Amarok?

Amarok: I'm fine without. I assume you know why I'm here.

Akrake: I haven't a clue, you'll have to tell me.

Amarok: (With a hint of annoyance.) I am here because you keep having me send my men to this brown rock to die.

(Akrake leans back in his chair.)

Akrake: Amarok my friend, we need your men to win this war. Besides that, barely anyone has died.

Amarok: We shouldn't be here, Akrake. This isn't our war.

Akrake: In case you've forgotten, we are here because one of our ships was attacked.

(Mal waltzes on in.)

Amarok: Three years ago! There hasn't been an attack on us since.

Akrake: I think you're forgetting about that attack in Siรด.

Amarok: We aren't Siรด.

Akrake: Bah.

Akrake: Ah, Mal's here.

Mal: Hello Amarok. I came up here to make a call, what are you two discussing?

Akrake: Amarok was just telling me how little he values our allies.

(Turen Weresame does a barrel roll right into a podium.)

(Amarok grows visibly frustrated.)

Mal: Whatever do you mean Akrake? Does Akaria not value its allies?

(Turen Weresame leaves without acknowledging hitting the podium at all.)

Akrake: Oh, Akaria does, don't you worry. Amarok doesn't though.

Mal: What is thy issue, Amarok? We are doing quite well in this civil war intervention.

Amarok: (Sternly.) Akaria's interests are in Akaria, not traipsing about far-flung islands.

Mal: Amarok, I must remind you that Akarian support in Kelelemi will only increase the bond between the two nations. Furthering a peaceful eastern archipelago.

(Amarok looks coldly at Mal.)

Mal: Would you rather the CNN be their strongest ally?

Amarok: The peacefulness of the archipelago is none of Akaria's concern.

Amarok: And as it stands, I have no qualms with the CNN.

Mal: (Sarcastically.) It seems that the peacefulness of the archipelago is none of your concern, Amarok, considering your nation's continued support of Kelelemi.

Mal: Your nation on the whole seems quite concerned with it.

Akrake: Well put, Mal.

(Amarok pulls Akrake to the side.)

Amarok: (Whispering to Akrake.) We need our forces in Akaria. things are changing color there.

Akrake: (Whispering back.) What do you mean by that?

Amarok: Harakar has summoned the Council of Akaria, things are about to get very bad.

Akrake: WHAT!?

(Mal stares at him.)

Akrake: (Now in a normal tone.) And where was Johnakar during all of this?

Amarok: He's off in eee conducting some sort of business of his own.

(Akrake steadies himself.)

Akrake: As it stands, Harakar is a very accomplished Living King and should be able to address the Holy Families just fine, without them metaphorically ripping him limb from limb.

Mal: Lads, I hate to interrupt, but you can direct me to the nearest telegraph machine? I must speak to someone.

Akrake: Very well then.

Akrake: Follow me this way, I'll talk to you later Amarok.

(Mal follows.)

(Akrake leads Mal to the telegraph machine right outside the meeting hall.)

Mal: Thanks mate.

(Turen is standing behind Mal and Akrake, just watching. He is curious.)

Turen Weresame: Fuck it, we ball.

(Mal dials up the office of Hia El. Turen puts a cigar in his mouth and walks away.)

Hia: Hello? Who might this be?

Mal: Hi Hia, I was wondering if you could talk to Yyme about me going home? As much as I love staying here, I don't think I'm the best fit.

(Turen overhears Mal saying this and glances at him wistfully, for he does not want Mal to leave because he wants a friend.)

Hia: Well, both he and I think you are, and there's a very little chance of you getting sent home before your duties are complete. I am curious, who would you recommend Mal?

Mal: I don't see why we can't have Votan here, he's smart and at the moment all he does is waste his time trying to backseat Yyme's policy choices. I also would like to get back to overseeing Akuta.

Hia: I'll put in a good word, but don't get your hopes up.

(Hia hangs up the phone.)

(Mal walks away from the Telegraph.)

(Akrake coughs.)

(Akrake runs over to Mal. Mal turns around.)

(Lek snaps out of his slumber.)

Akrake: Mal my friend, we've just opened a grocers. It's right next to the Ambassador's Building.

Mal: Oh boy.

Lek: Did somebody say grocers?

TureN Weresame: We got veg in the House. Let's fucking gooo.

Akrake: We've got all sorts of food from the Eastern Bloc shipped in.

Mal: Amazing. I hope this includes the famous "water meat."

Lek: They better have frozen stargazer pie.

Akrake: I believe they have a small stock of it available.[1.3]

[1.3] Does he mean the water meat or the pie? We will never know.

TureN Weresame: Maybe you could bring this food to Koraliti and Eastern Ananela, there will be a famine.

(Driplap runs over.)

Driplap: What is water meat, does it help with dry skin?

Akrake: It's an Akarian delicacy.

Turen Weresame: Tried water meat once. Was well seasoned.

Akrake: Follow me, allies.

(Mal follows. Driplap platters after them.)

(Turen Weresame walks in an entirely different direction.)

(Akrake leads the party into the grocers. The grocers is about the same size as the first floor of the Ambassador's Building. Driplap looks on with amazement.)

(Turen Weresame turns around to see the party moving further away and jogs to catch up with them.)

(The building is filled with foods from all over the Eastern Bloc. Turen Weresame cries, knowing he and his people will not see such prosperity and availability of food for a very long time.)

(Driplap pats their storage bag and joins Turen in the kelpie equivalent of cry as they realize they left their wallet at home.)

(Every item has four price tags: one in Dolare, one in Loteng, one in Gold and one in Copper.)

Akrake: Well gentry, explore.

(Mal buys some water meat.)

Driplap: Do they accept credit?

Turen Weresame: No ameerends??

Akrake: Johnakar thought it best not to deal in an unstable currency.

Turen Weresame: You think you know unstable?! It's all about to get real UNSTABLE up in here!

(Akrake shimmies away from Turen.)

(Lek searches all the freezers for stargazer pie. He finds two and grabs both of them.)

(Mal sits down in a cafeteria-style chair.)

(Turen Weresame buys an 80lb fish with no intention of eating it.)

(Lek takes a packet of dried dandelions and puts them on top of his pies.)

(Turen Weresame buys frozen Yagalom Ready-CookTM Microwave Meal.)

(Driplap grabs some water meat and succeeds in covertly smuggling it out the door.)

Turen Weresame: Yo can you guys spot me a 20 I left my wallet in my car.

(Turen is visibly holding his wallet as well as a 10k Amirind bill. Turen is ignored.)

(Driplap returns and starts browsing the condiments.)

Akrake: (To a clerk.) You sir, I'd like to purchase some water meat for my good friend Mal.
(Lek bags some dried loquats and pays for his stuff.)
(The clerk informs Akrake of the price.)

Akrake: Really?

Turen Weresame: Come on dude, let's just bail.

(Turen shoves things into his coat and bag, dozens of things fall onto the floor as he sweeps the shelves.)

Driplap: Are you implying we should steal? That would be immoral.

Akrake: (To the clerk.) Very well then, wheel it out.

(Akrake looks to Turen and spies the stores armed guards slowly circling Turen.)

(Turen Weresame runs out of the store looking like this before a store employee confronts him.)

(Several of the store's guards exit the store after him. Turen Weresame turns to see the guards and enters a sprint.)

(The clerk returns, wheeling a large trolley out from the back. They then unlock a small safe on the trolley, revealing several packets of water meat.)

(Driplap walks out of the store, taking advantage of the guards' distraction, their storage bag full of various condiments to go with their previously smuggled water meat.)

(Turen Weresame sees Driplap engaging in theft and turns to walk towards him, ignoring the guards following him.)

(Driplap looks back and realizes they had previously stolen fish, not water meat. They slip into the sewers with their catch to go to the dwelling they made there.)

Turen Weresame: Yo, 25k for yagalom and bakahari? That's totally bogus, those posers couldn't sell water to a fish. Catch ya later, alligators. Papa has to offload his new gear at the meeting hall. Time to get my rocks off.

(Driplap returns from the sewers with a letter asking their partner to send them their wallet in the mail.)

(Akrake produces a large mass of gold and a small crucible.)

(Akrake places the wad into the crucible and forges a smaller nugget which is quickly cooled and given to the clerk in exchange for a package of water meat.)

Akrake: MAL WHERE ARE YOU?

Driplap: (In a poor impersonation of Mal's voice.) I'm in the bathroom, just leave it by the sewers and I'll grab it.

(Akrake, unamused by Driplap's antics, ignores them.)
(Turen goes to the Meeting Hall to sell weed illegally.)

(Disappointed Driplap returns from their trek to the mailroom.)

Turen Weresame: Yo, you hear ๐Ÿ‘‚๐Ÿ‘‚๐Ÿ‘‚๐Ÿ‘‚๐Ÿ‘‚๐Ÿ‘‚ for a package delivery?

Local: Yeah, man.

Turen Weresame: 10k for one joint.

(Local hands Turen a bill.)

(Driplap watches this exchange and wonders how a local civilian got into a secure military base.)

Turen Weresame: Thanks man, come back again for good customer service.

Local: No problem dude.

(Young woman with tattoos on both her arms of Robete Guresone and a naval anchor walks up to Trent.)

Young woman with tattoos on both her arms of Robete Guresone and a naval anchor: You got ''goods''?

Turen Weresame: You've come to the right place, babe. How much ya looking for?

YWWTOBHAoRGaaNA: 5 rolls.

Turen Weresame: That'd be 50k, but for a smokin' hot chick like you, it's 45. Bringing in that sweet deals for you, baby.

(Trent Veersham hands her a ziplock bag with 5 poorly rolled spliffs.)

(Young Woman gives Trent 2 10K bills and one 25k bill.)

Turen Weresame: See you anytime, baby.

(Turen pulls his hoodie down to reveal he now has cornrows for some reason.)

(Two uniformed military police approach Turen and book him in the local jail for dealing illegal substances.)

Turen Weresame: Come on, man! You can't just dick me over like this, a guy is only selling some herb, chill out, man!

Turen Weresame: Don't you worry, I just bought a hydroponics unit and some UV lights off Alibaba, I'm gonna be raking it in soon, mark my words.

(Driplap makes a sad and confused gesture.)
