Rossan conservatism

Rossan conservatism is a cultural and political philosophy and ideology that seeks to promote the traditional aristocratic order on the island of La Rossa. Although it encompasses a broad range of beliefs, the movement generally seeks to bring back the Six Families back to positions of power, in order to preserve their historical and cultural signficance on the island, promoting private ownership and markets, or in extreme positions, even going as far as to roll back decades of democratic revolutions and reforms in order to return to an oligarchic form of government. Taking heritage from a long historical lineage of Duxes spanning almost the entire history of the unified nation of La Rossa, the movement takes particular opposition to Denunzianism, a set of beliefs born out of the revolution of La Denunzia that would establish a democratic welfare state.

Rossan conservatism is related to, but not synonymous with internationalism, or a belief that La Rossa should engage with other islands of the Attu Archipelago for purposes of trade, partnership, and alliances. The movement has championed the Rossan Opening, when La Rossa opened its ports to trade across the archipelago, hailing it as a success for Rossan businesses and companies that were allowed to expand and grow when unimpeded by nationalizations and misplaced egalitarian efforts. Mare, a major conservative party that has dominated Rossan politics, holds a firmly internationalist line based on cooperation and free trade with the House of Light, an economic and military alliance La Rossa is a part of. However, such positions have also been partially adopted by some moderate politicians of the Denunzianist Isola, despite it being a nominally isolationist party.
