Biography

Early life

Shinkor Garvak was born on 15-7 1325 TT to the eventual Leader of the Garvak, Aokoke Garvak. On 14-7 1285 TT the Kakay joined the 2nd Durantum Perikat. At some point after that, the 2nd Durantum Perikat decided that the Leader of the Garvak would succeed Bartan Banokan as Living King. Shinkor became the Leader of the Garvak on 13-11 1271 TT, three days after his father's death. Shinkor became the Living King on 17-6 1268 TT after the death of Living King Bartan Banokan.

Living King

On 6-7 1251 TT the Andu Kur, amid a recession put a large number of restrictions on trade with the Akarinian Confederation. Four days later Shinkor issued his 12th Dictate barring any trade whatsoever with the Andu Kur. Soon after the Living Press began demonising the Andu Kur, citing their prior conflicts with the Akarinian Confederation and the Karinians. Modern historians agree that the dictate was only supposed to be a temporary measure to force the Andu Kur to lift their trade restriction. A lack of communication between the Living King and the ossbosches led to the demonisation of the Andu by the Living Press and in the eyes of the Akarinian populace. Shinkor's 14th Dictate, issued on 11-4 1248 TT ordered the construction of a great defensive wall on the border with the Andu Kur.

The Standard of the Living King or the Living Standard was adopted on 27-4 1240 TT through Shinkor's 15th Dictate.

Shinkor Garvak died on 12-3 1231 TT.
