The Sorewa Liberation Uprising (SLU) is an armed organisation based in the Collective Kelelemi Republic (CKR). The group is comprised primarily of Sorewa people.

Background

Since the formation of the Collective Kelelemi Republic (CKR) in 150 TT, the Sorewa had been gradually turned into the lowest caste of Kelelemite society whilst their culture was suppressed.

History

The Sorewa Liberation Uprising (SLU) was formed on 5-1 9 PC to oppose the government of the CKR to end the oppression of the Sorewa people and establish their own state. The CKR became aware of the SLU on 1-2 9 PC.

During 9 PC the government of the CKR began cracking down on people advocating for Sorewa rights leading to increased membership in the SLU.

The SLU bombed the ATFS Arakar of the Akarian Trade Fleet on 28-3 10 PC, marking the first SLU attack on a foreign target. Following the attack, mass protests and riots began across Kelelemi leading President of the Collective Kelelemi Republic, Robete Guresone to declare a state of emergency. The riots did not die down leading to Guresone enacting marshal law on 2-4 10 PC and requesting foreign intervention. SLU-affiliated rioters stormed the Bluerock House on 7-4 10 PC and killed Robete Guresone. Shortly after Guresone's death, rioters affiliated with the SLU began forming platoons. Vice President of the Collective Kelelemi Republic, Turen Weresame declared the Kelelemi was now in a state of war and vowed to avenge Guresone's death.
