Tieteran ban on letting ships leave port without a captain

From Attu Project

The Tieteran ban on letting ships leave port without a captain is the Kingdom of Tietero's current policy on letting ships leave port without a captain. This policy only concerns ships, and does not apply to boats.

Goose Ship Incident

During the First Great Attu War, on a night weeks before the Second Battle of Tietero, a unit of the Caseic Federation's forces sneaked into a port in the canton of Balenoj, and pushed all but one of the Tieteran ships into the sea without their captains as a strategic means to weaken the Tieteran naval forces in the upcoming battle. The Federation forces then guided a flock of geese onto the one ship that remained.

The following morning, a local newspaper reported on the flock of geese on the ship, causing the affair to be known as the "Goose Ship Incident".

Ban

The Kingdom of Tietero officially banned the practice of letting ships leave port without a captain days after the Goose Ship incident. The law was reviewed when the First Great Attu War ended, but remained in force.
