Legend
Background
Mezdun, the fourthborn of Mas Kel-Thuurm, is a demon with a single giant, glowing eye, hair made of worms, green scaled flesh, claws the size of houses, chest the size of a farm, and a cruel malevolence towards all life. Most notably, the demon lacks legs, instead posessing a tail that stretchs endlessly downwards. Throughout Deysachni history, many legends exist of heros slaying Mezdun, only for its corpse to be dragged away by the tail into a bog, from which it would reemerge alive again.
Vykhwp
According to legend, there was a boy name Vykhwp, who was the sole survivor of a village consumed by Mezdun. Seeking revenge, he formulated a plan. He came at the demon with a blade, and declared that he knows Mezdun's weakness, and that he shall be the one who finally removes him from the world. Mezdun was amused by this, and humored the boy by slowly appraching him rather than poucing. Vykhwp backed away at the same speed, dagger still raised, still taunting the demon. Mezdun continued creeping forward, fantasizing about ripping the child apart for his hubris, and Vykhwp continued backing away, feeding into Mezdun's pride. The duo backed out of the bog, out towards the mountains, to the peak of the tallest mountain in the land. Having nowhere left to back away to, Vykhwp continued backing away, into the sky, Mezdun following without even noticing. The duo backed into the stars, and to this day Mezdun continues to lurch toward Vykhwp, circling around the night sky across the year.
