Yresnet are a supposed species of sentient fungus native to the bogs of Direnomut. First described by pseudo-biology expert Areyet Ishyyelem in 243 TT, they have never been fully confirmed to exist or supported by credited scientists. They are said to trick unknowing passerby with "trials" that most commonly end in the person being mildly injured, much to the amusement of the yresnet; it is said that if one can outwit the colony they will receive a gift of precious gems.
