A Lamane is a title within the Modhes Temple Hirarchy, which denotes an Ayatollah that is also the head of a state, or state-adjascent legal entity. It is not to be confused with the similar position of a Shabdrung, as a Shabdrung is politically independant from Modhes Temple, whilst a Lamane is merely politically autonomous. A state which is run by a Lamane is a Lamaney.
