The drowning of Commander Jaceri was a turning point in the Brisa War, which occurred on ##-# ## TT (Caseic Calendar: 501-5-23).

Commander Jaceri

Commander Jaceri was a military commander in the Wesian army. In the midst of a battle on the western coast of the island of Brisa, Commander Jaceri fell off a boat by accident and subsequently drowned because he was wearing heavy armour. In the aftermath of the battle, the Brisan army considered this to be an act of Pechi, the one-armed god of the perpetual storm, whereas the Wesian army assumed that the drowning of Commander Jaceri was a deliberate attack by the Brisan army.

Battle of the Cliffs

The death of Commander Jaceri was used as a rallying cry by the Wesian army in the Battle of the Cliffs, wherein a hundred Wesian soldiers fell off a cliff as a result of poor military strategy, weather conditions, and a cartographical error. In this battle, the Wesian army lost Commander Ajicheri, one of their stronger military minds.

After the end of the war, the drowning of Commander Jaceri was dramatised in the play Pechi's Reign.
