Army of Hapšâw

The Army of Hapšâw (Hapšâw'l hoKêmâtâ, HhK) is the ground force of the Kingdom of Hapšâw. It is tasked with the protection of Hapšâw from foreign threats, though it has been used offensively in the past, most notably during the WHATEVER THE AKARIA WAR WAS CALLED in XX PC. The organization was formed out of the Goyhalnal Guard, the army of Goyhalna during the Hapšâw'l Unification War. The HhK is divided into units known as haKikšis which contain 216 people and are divided into 6 Hebašas, which contain 36 soldiers, including one flag-bearer. The standard kit of a HhK soldier includes a rifle, typically the Bokâl-32, and a hoshem, which is useful as a utility tool as well as a melee weapon.

The HhK does not mandate military service during peacetime, however men may be recruted if war is declared.

Uniform

The uniform of an HhK soldier consists of an pale mint-colored short-sleeved linan shirt, thick trousers with suspenders, darker in shade but similar in color to the shirt, and a pair of leather boots. Additionally soldiers are provided with a jacket to be used in the winter, and a waterproof poncho meant to protect them from the rain. A bronze pin in the shape of a lobster is pinned onto the shirt, though some choose to pin it to the suspenders instead. Rank is marked by white stripes on the sleeves of the shirt and the jacket.

Royal Guard

The royal guard is a subdivision of the Army of Hapšâw tasked with protecting the King of Hapšâw, it is made up of 2 hebašas or 72 people, who are selected from the best performing men in the Army of Hapšâw. Their uniforms are made up of a red shirt with white lines marking rank and dark blue pants.

Hapšâw'l Coast Guard

The Hapšâw'l Coast Guard (Hapšâw'l HišlTsalyw hoKêmâtâ, HhThK) is the maritime force of the Kingdom, it is tasked with protecting it's waters from foreign threats, as well as prevent smuggling. The HhThK operates two large brown-water vessels, named the HKV Tokšahalna and Goyhalna, as well as 10 smaller boats, referred to as HKV V1 - HKV V!0. Originally the HhThK was a subdivision of the HhK, however it became an independent organization in 64 PC.

The uniform of the HhThK is similar to the uniform of the HhK, however the colors of the shirt are inverted, it being white with mint stripes indicating rank, sailors also wear sandals instead of boots. Many sailors in the HhThK wear a bandana or headscarf over their head and neck to protect themselves from sunlight, however they are not part of the uniform. Members typically carry the Pêtšêyana-34, a carbine version of the Bokâl-32, which features a plastic cover, meant to shield the components from the saltwater, and a collapsible stock. They do not carry a hoshem, but many carry a small utility knife.

Hapšâw'l Security

The Hapšâw'l Security, better known by it's Hapšâw'l name - Hapšâw'l vaFêmân, or HvF, is a paramilitary organization operated by the Bureau of Internal Affairs. It's job is to track down dangerous criminals such as murderers or arsonists, and to combat organized crime and anti-government organizations. It was founded in 68 PC. Members of the organization wear dark blue uniforms, made up of a short-sleeved shirt, belted pants and, during colder seasons, a long coat, modeled on the uniform of the Rossan Armed Forces. HvF guards have a badge sewn onto the left breast of the uniform. Members of the HvF may carry the Gêrâtâ-20 Pistol, an imported deysachni model, or the Bokâl-32. The HvF uses motorcycles extensively, and members who ride them are provided with a blue leather jacket and a pair of goggles. Members often carry a collapsible can, which can be used to pacify dissidents without serious injury.

Since 85 PC the HvF has functioned like a federated organization, with no central leadership above Lêyây level.
