Biography

Early life

Atet was born around 1824 TT. Atet's grandfather Katek was the leader of the Deram Tribal Group around the time he was born.

Atet became the Leader of the Deram Tribal Group on 21-6 1803 TT after defeating his father in a duel bound by the right of blood.

Leader of the Deram Tribal Group

On 30-10 1795 TT Kadar, Leader of the Arkaran Tribal Group, announced that he had fused with a spirit and was to be considered a god who was destined to drive back the Andu Kur who had long raided the Karinian people. On 15-11, 1794 TT Atet had the Deram Tribal Group recognise Kadar's divinity and entered into an alliance with his groups. Atet was a brother-in-law of the late Ambat who had been killed by Kadar during his takeover of the Amarken Tribal Group. He might have seen it as a way to ally himself with a group that he would have had blood ties to had Ambat not died. Regardless of intent, the move convinced more tribal groups to recognize the divinity of Kadar and join forces.

The Andu Kur launched an invasion of Kadar's forces on 26-4 1791 TT and Kadar gathered his forces to defend against the invasion with Atet and the Deram among them. On 8-1 1790 TT, over half of the Andu Kur invasion force began to withdraw from the campaign against Kadar and his followers.

On 11-7, 1787 TT Kadar's forces managed to route what was left of the Andu Kur and capture the Andu city of Kanda. Atet remained at the ruins of the city with Kadar and the rest of his allies for ten days. On that tenth day when no Andu forces arrived, they declared the war over and began discussing what to do next. It was three days after that, on 24-7 1787 TT that the Akarian Confederation was established with Kadar as its first leader.

Atet died on 15-8 1754 TT.
