Radiovision La Rossa, formerly known as Radio La Rossa and commonly referred to as only RLR, is the national public radio broadcasting service of the Republic of La Rossa. Government-owned, it is the only licensed operator allowed access to long-range broadcasting frequencies on the island. Radio La Rossa has ownership of three stations, each broadcasting throughout the majority of the day. RLR1, established in 20 TT (with construction authorized in 23 TT) by Dux Lorenzo Minestrici di Mineria (ruled 26 TT-14 TT), was originally the sole radio station on the island, and focused on a variety of programs. In a major publicity stunt, the radio's first airing saw the public transmission of the Dux's speeches held during the Festival of the Two-Thousand-Year Republic. Since the establishment of RLR2 in 9 TT, with a focus on daily news and politics, however, the original station has been branded as an exclusively musical channel. RLR3, created in 17 PC, the last station to be opened, focuses on cultural enrichment, with historical programs, radio dramas, and guest experts broadcast throughout the day. The previously radio-only system has been upgraded to allow for the transmission of video signals in 55 PC, and most of its programming has been re-recorded in order to allow for visuals to accompany it.
