Dakma

The Dakma is a provincially elected senate(?) in Okrit consisting of 30 board members representing the provinces they govern.. The first Dakma was elected in 30 PC in a campaign sanctioned by president Aakar Orit.

Structure

30 officials are elected with votes from each Okriti province. Among them is a Chairman elected by the president to represent them as a group(?), who when elected has his Dakma seat replaced by a successor.

History

The first Dakma was elected provincially in 30 PC. Only 20 of the 40 seats were able to be filled due to logistical issues involving a lack of representation of highlands provinces. The same year(?) the first Dakma Chairman Katopo Naka of Okso province was elected.

The Dakma were the first to receive news of 3 Okriti pirate vessels near Ronatana in 44 PC.

The Dakma would pass the Highland Incorporation Bill, wherein government offices, schools and infrastructure would be established in the four Highland provinces, assisted by the construction of rail directly to Peak Province from Kafotwo the same year.
