Atheism

Atheism is the lack of belief in Gods. It is moderately common on eee and is known to sporadically occur on Niueyjar with adherents sometimes being executed.

Hangism, a religion/philosophy popular on Nongba, lacks belief in a deity. Instead of following a god, Hangists follow the path of a Mortal woman, Hangmeng.

Similarities and Differences with related beliefs

Non-religion

Non-religion is distinct from atheism, but is frequently confused with it. Whereas atheism is an explicit lack of belief in gods, non-religion is more implicit; whereas an atheist denounces religious institutions, a non-religious person merely does not participate in religious rituals and practices. The Caseic Federation does not recognise atheism, but does recognise non-religion.

Antithiesm

Antithism is a seperate concept from athiesm, though the two share overlaps. Where athiests are of the belief that gods do not exist, antithiests are of the opinion that they do exist, but are evil. Antithiests, due to their inherent distain for the gods, are unlikely to care much about them outside of standing against them, and as such can have much in common with athiestic circles. In Deysachin, antitheism is referred to as Mn'krapanti, and athiesm is typically classified as a form of Mn'krapanti belief within Deysachni political laws.
