Biography

Early life

Bolakh Deram was born in Durantum on 1-7 603 TT. Bolakh's father, Arikarin Deram was elected Living King on 18-3 602 TT and they moved to Ablesken. The Able War started on 29-10 594 TT with the Deram and their allies on one side and the Anti-Durantum League on the other. Three days into the war Bolakh, his mother and his sisters were sent to Durantun as it was better defended than Ablesken. The war ended on 26-2 591 TT when the Anti-Durantum League killed Arikarin. From then on Bolakh was raised by his mother and his uncle Fanachar Deram.

Killing of Gonchidor Ikane

The death of his father devistated Bolakh and he swore revenge against those responsible. On 25-8 564 TT he killed Living King Gonchidor Ikane, who was meeting with members of the Arkara in Agrada. Ochi Skrake was elected Living King on 16-9 564 TT and requested the Deram to hand over Bolakh Deram to be tried for his crimes. Fanachar, now Leader of the Deram refused, claiming that no crime had been committed under Deram Law. In response the armies of the Arkara, Dakon, Ikane, Kakay and Skrake entered the Deram Kadrike on 4-12 564 TT and began massacring members of the Deram and people affiliated with the Deram in an event known as the Purification of Able. The Deram Army evacuated members of the Deram in Durantum and forced their way to the outpost of Dokraim in the Andu Lands as the Deram Kadrike was accupied by the invading armies. Bolakh and Fanachar were among the evacuated.

Leader of the Deram

Fanachar died on 3-11 548 TT. The Council of Restoration –which Fanachar had created on 1-1 563 TT– named Bolakh Leader of the Deram on 18-11 548 TT.

Bolakh died on 21-5 525 TT.
