A Caseic Federation Customs Enforcement Tower, or CFCE Tower, is a tall structure which is stationed at a port in the Caseic Federation and intended to enforce Caseic customs policy.
Description
A typical CFCE tower consists of a tall block with an internal staircase, atop which a large lens apparatus sits. An operator is meant to use the lens apparatus to direct solar rays towards incoming ships that violate customs policy.
History
The first CFCE tower to be constructed was CFCE Tower Prime, located in the Dockside district of Brenji. It is unusual in that it has a circular base: later CFCE towers opted for a standardised rectangular design. Despite the stated purpose of the CFCE towers to be the prevention of harmful goods from entering the Federation, the CFCE towers often hit local fishing ships by accident.
In 26 PC, an Utlian missile hit the lens apparatus of CFCE Tower Prime, directing the focused solar beam towards the city of Brenji and causing a catastrophic fire.
The CFCE towers fell into disuse when the construction of the Ibe-Framji Tower began.
