Maasyl

The Maasyl is the main lawmaking force in the Republic of Utlia. It is a parliamentary system enacted during the presidency of Hia El.

History

The Maasyl was created by Hia El during the democratic reform of Utlia in 23 PC, the cabinet was not populated by anyone until the first federal election was won by the UBP.

Originally the Maasyl housed members from many different parties, this was changed by Coalition leader Sern Bes after he dissolved all political parties into the coalition, citing infighting as too big of a problem to ignore in the LC.

Operations

The Maasyl is comprised is 32 elected lawmakers from each LC District. All LC members are also members of The Coalition. Along with the 28 members, during meetings there is an overseer, usually a member of the Upper Cabinet, observing and keeping order of the parliament. Most commonly this job is assigned to the Lt President.
