Perpetual dandelion

The Perpetual dandelion (Hapšâw'l: Honnâ Pêtâvâkapa) or Immortal dandelion (Kêrâmâyi Pêtâvâkapa) is a mythical rare flower said to grow on the island of Hapšâw. It is described as looking almost identical to regular dandelion flowers, only visibly differing from them by emitting a faint glow which is not noticable during the day. Much like ordinary dandelions, the flower transforms into a fluffy, white seed head after around 10 days, however it differs from it's real counterpart by reverting back to it's flower form after another 6 days, which itself later becomes a seed head, this process repeats until the plant is destroyed, giving the flower it's name. Only one of the seeds produced during the flowers life will grow into an Immortal dandelion, with all others growing into regular, mortal dandelions.

The petals of a Perpetual dandelion flower are said to be able to extend one's life indefinitely, as long as they are consumed regularly (most commonly claimed to be every six days, though it differs depending on the area). Yânâlil Genera, the ruler of Tokšahalna between 276 and 217 TT, is sometimes believed to have possessed an Immortal dandelion, which allowed him to live to the age of 104 years old, and would have possibly allowed him to live longer if not for his death, which was caused by the roof of his room collapsing and crushing the ruler. Many other rulers have tried to obtain the flower, but none were successful.

The flowers cyclic transformations are somewhat similar to Modhes Ywl's cycle of rejuvenations. Due to this the perpetual dandelion, as well as dandelions as a whole, are associated with Modhes Ywl and the Modhes religion as a whole. Many newer temples are decorated with the depictions of the flower, as well as dandelion flowers themselves during their blooming season.
