Ransom War

The Ransom War was an prolonged raid by the Qoeul-bo Hrnad on the island of Ronatana, ending with it being held for ransom.

Background

In the years following the Nongban Civil War, the array of Naval Platforms used by the YDF and TLP fell out of use, and slowly become home to smugglers and othersuch law-evading individuals. Concurrent to this, the Edwardian TLP government struggled to adapt to a post-war existance, and itself became rife with crime, and so too did the near-ungoverned settlement of Arasken-Ut on nearby Manpo island.In time, the Nongban Sea came to be a central node in the International Black Market, and piracy became common.

Following the arrival of the Qoeul-bo Hrnad into the sea in the early 40s, prominant smuggler Uc Praani began unifying previously independant pirate collectives under their unified banner, and within a few years the whole of the sea was under their control.
