Cyals

Cyals is a ball based sport, it is the most popular sport in Utlia, originating from the Eutan kingdom. In Cyals two teams compete to see who can kick a ball into a net, points are awarded based on distance from net when kicking. It is organized on a national level with the government owned CieLeague, which is the highest level of Cyals play there are 15 Cie clubs, 12 on mainland Utlia, 1 in Liaia and 2 in Brenjia.

Cyals was invented in 993 TT by a group of Ardey trying to kill time while working at the Shrine of Azgrar-Wycalt in Kelna-Ut. Originally the teams featured only 3 players each instead of the modern 6, this was due to the low amount of Ardey working in the shrine. The sport caught on through word-of-mouth, with it becoming a sensation in Kelna, eventually catching on around Utlia.

Peserl

Peserl is the second most popular sport in Utlia, it is a form of competitive ice-fishing. The sport has been around since prior to unification, with evidence suggesting it may even predate the expansion of the Frish and Eutan kingdom beyond city-states.
